Gennadiy Khazanov is a Soviet and Russian pop artist, theater and film actor, TV presenter, public figure; People's Artist of the RSFSR.
He was born in a Jewish family, which broke up shortly after his birth. About his father - Viktor Lukacher, an engineer in the field of radio communications and sound recording - he learned only when he was an adult. As it turned out, he lived with his father in the same house on Dimitrov Street. Gennady Khazanov believes that his teacher is Arkady Raykin, who since his childhood has had a great influence on the future artist. Since 1962, Khazanov tried to enter Moscow's theaters of higher education, including the Shchukin school, but failed at the exams and became a student at the Moscow Institute for the Study of Information Technology. There he began to participate in student amateur performances. In 1965, Gennadiy Khazanov was admitted to the State College of Circus and Variety Art (teacher Nadezhda Slonova). Since 1967 he started performing on the big stage. At the end of the institute in 1969 Khazanov worked as an entertainer in the orchestra of Leonid Utyosov, which was a good school. In 1971 he moved to Mosconcert. Khazanov tried many genres - from the parody up to clownery, but in the end he found himself as an entertainer of the colloquial genre - variety reprise. In 1975 Khazanov had the all-Union success - his monologue was shown on television. Despite the popularity of the image, Khazanov decided not to exploit it, creating a series of memorable miniatures embodied in new images on the stage.
