There will be no Season 5 for Tacoma Fd. TruTV has canceled the comedy, its last remaining scripted series, after four seasons, Deadline has confirmed.

The Season 4 finale, which aired in October, will now serve as the series finale.

Starring and created by Super Troopers‘ Kevin Heffernan (Fire Chief Terry McConky) and Steve Lemme (Captain Eddie Pinisi), Tacoma Fd was set in a firehouse in one of America’s rainiest cities, where firefighters kept themselves entertained with creative competitions, friendly first responder rivalries and bizarre emergency calls.

Cast also included Marcus Henderson (Granny), Gabriel Hogan (Ike), and Hassie Harrison (Lucy). Chris Avila joined Season 4 as new recruit Mickelberry.

It’s been nearly two years since truTV’s Tacoma Fd season three ended, and about the same amount of time since the network announced the comedy had been renewed for season four. Now, finally, we have a confirmed premiere date for the new season along with an official trailer teasing the show’s return.

truTV will be launching season four on July 20, 2023, with new episodes arriving on Tuesdays at 10pm Et/Pt.

“We’re excited to bring the Tfd fans 13 new episodes starting July 20th,” said series star Steve Lemme. Webb plays unfiltered marketing exec Renee in the comedy created by Leigh Davenport that follows Black professionals and lifelong best friends with aspirations to take over the world.

TruTV has ordered Tacoma Fd Season 2, allowing for more rainy day firefighting adventures.

Some good news for a rainy Tacoma day!

Deadline reports that TruTV has ordered another season of firefighting comedy Tacoma Fd. Tacoma Fd Season 2 will feature 13 episodes. There is no early word on a release date, though Deadline notes it will go into production later this year and arrive in 2020.

Tacoma Fd was created by Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe and Super Troopers movie franchise. The show is set in rainy Tacoma, Washington where the climate means there are few fires and therefore few things for the local fire department to do other than annoy one another

Paramount Network has set a new premiere date for its Heathers reboot. The dark comedy series based on the cult film will now debut July 10, the network announced Tuesday on Instagram.

The network had delayed the premiere, initially set for March 7, following the deadly shooting at a Parkland, Florida high school. In a statement at the time, Paramount Network said its “original series “Heathers” is a satirical comedy that takes creative risks in dealing with many of society’s most challenging subjects ranging from personal identity to race and socio-economic status to gun violence,” the statement said. “While we stand firmly behind the show, in light of the recent tragic events in Florida and out of respect for the victims, their families and loved ones, we feel the right thing to do is delay the premiere until later this year.”

Jamie Kaler's show, the underrated TBS sitcom 'My Boys,' was canceled, but luckily, he has a stand-up comedy career to fall back on. Now Kaler is back on stage with a vengeance. Do you think he blames his audiences for 'My Boys' low ratings?

At a recent show at the Columbus Funny Bone, Kaler literally caused a woman to laugh so hard she began choking (see video below). It was so severe, the comedian noticed her from stage and says, "No, she's not joking." That prompted others to give the choking victim the Heimlich maneuver. Nothing popped out of her throat and everyone realized she was only laughing. Very hard.

Rachael Harris is best known for her dry, quick-witted delivery in roles on shows like "Notes from the Underbelly" and last year's comedy blockbuster "The Hangover," where she played the nagging wife of Ed Helms' character Stu Price, who would deliver such chestnuts as "suck my" you-know-what.

Harris has recently gotten a chance to play nice in the role of mom Susan Heffley in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and now a recurring role on TBS comedy "My Boys," where she plays Marcia, a love interest for Jamie Kaler's character Mike. The attitude adjustment on her latest roles isn't lost on Harris. "I got to be nice on the show so that's a really good thing," Harris said, laughing.

Rachael Harris is best known for her dry, quick-witted delivery in roles on shows like "Notes from the Underbelly" and last year's comedy blockbuster "The Hangover," where she played the nagging wife of Ed Helms' character Stu Price, who would deliver such chestnuts as "suck my" you-know-what.

Harris has recently gotten a chance to play nice in the role of mom Susan Heffley in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and now a recurring role on TBS comedy "My Boys," where she plays Marcia, a love interest for Jamie Kaler's character Mike. The attitude adjustment on her latest roles isn't lost on Harris. "I got to be nice on the show so that's a really good thing," Harris said, laughing.

"It takes a special kind of lady to appreciate Mike," said Harris, who will appear on the upcoming final three episodes of "My Boys." "He's eccentric and a goofball.

Tonight, TBS kicks off the fourth season of the My Boys sitcom. Will it be back for a fifth season? Some of the actors expect it be cancelled but TBS doesn't agree -- not yet anyway.

My Boys revolves around sportswriter Jane "Pj" Franklin (Jordana Spiro) who has several close friends that are mostly guys. They include her brother Andy (Jim Gaffigan), competing sportswriter Bobby (Kyle Howard), DJ Brendan Dorff (Reid Scott), commitment-challenged Mike (Jamie Kaler), socially inept Kenny (Michael Bunin), and Stephanie Layne (Kellee Stewart), a fellow female writer.

The show began in November 2006. It was successful enough to be renewed for seasons two, three, and four but TBS only ordered nine installments each time. Anticipating a cancellation this time around, several in the cast have found other work, or at least they've tried to.

Being "one of the guys" can be hard work -- all that ping-pong playing, beer drinking, Espn watching ... it's tiring even just typing that.

But Jordana Spiro easily traverses Guy Land in her fourth season as the star of TBS' comedy, 'My Boys.' Her character, sportswriter Pj, goes toe to toe (and beer for beer) with boyfriend Bobby (Kyle Howard) and a cadre of male friends (Michael Bunin, Jamie Kaler, Reid Scott). For some female companionship, she's got Bff Stephanie -- who recently started dating one of those guys, Kenny (Bunin).

Spiro talked to TV Squad recently about the changes to the group in season 4 (premieres Sun., July 25 at 10Pm Et), getting her ping-pong on, the sport she obsessed over this year and Conan O'Brien's move to TBS.

Chicago – The writing on “My Boys” can still be overly self-aware of its perceived cleverness but the ensemble has developed to such an extent that they’ve reached level of talent that can overcome the occasional weak punchline or false character moment. These talented actors have finally gelled into the fine-tuned comedy ensemble that they always threatened to be and you couldn’t ask for better drinking buddies on a Sunday night this summer.

When we last left "My Boys," Pj's (Jordana Spiro) brother Andy (Jim Gaffigan, who left the show to focus on his stand-up comedy) took a job in China, leaving Pj and the gang with an empty spot in their weekly poker game, which they seek to fill in the premiere episode, "Addition by Subtraction."

What ensues is a round of auditions for the spot, including the fellow in the above clip who orders Pj to make him some tea. The group finally does fill the poker table spot -- but we won't spoil it for you.

In "Gourmets and Confused," the second of the back-to-back Season 4 premiere episodes, a "grown-up night" takes a very grown-up turn when Mike (Jamie Kaler) and Brendan (Reid Scott) make some special brownies that are inadvertently consumed by the others. Let's just say Pj and friend Stephanie (Kellee Stewart) are doing cheers by episode's end.

What was My Boys star Jamie Kaler's first TV role? A guy "way too old to be hitting it" on Saved by the Bell: The New Class. Kaler and co-star Michael Bunin stopped by TVGuide.com during their current comedy tour to tell us more about their humble beginnings — which may have included porn — and how a table read during the first season led to a romance in Season 4, which premieres Sunday at 10/9c on TBS.

The 'Boys' are finally back in town! When the under-the-radar TBS comedy 'My Boys,' returns for its fourth season Sun., July 25 at 10Pm Et, we'll be watching (with beer in hand, of course).

Star Jamie Kaler, who plays goofball Mike Callahan, stopped by the TV Squad offices to talk to us about what's coming up on the show and the comedy tour he and castmate Mike Bunin (Kenny) are embarking on across the country (see the schedule at Kaler's site). New York -- A Second City class of '79 reunion with Jim Belushi, Mike Ditka and a stand-up show featuring "My Boys" stars Jamie Kaler, Michael Bunin and Reid Scott have been added to the second annual TBS Presents A "Very Funny" Festival: Just for Laughs in Chicago in June.

Zap2it hit the set of TBS' "My Boys" this week and was pleasantly surprised to witness the presence of the hilarious Rachael Harris ("The Hangover," "Reno 911," "Notes from the Underbelly").

Harris will make her "My Boys" debut towards the end of the fourth season which premieres Sunday, July 25.

She'll be playing Mike's (Jamie Kaler) love interest, Marcia, who meets him at Andy's (Jim Gaffigan) suburban home.

Gaffigan has opted to exit "My Boys" and concentrate on his stand up career this year. His character will be written out with a move overseas, which of course leaves the door open for Mike to masquerade as a grown man who owns his own four-bedroom pad.

But apparently this Marcia chick digs that kind of trickery, because she seems to be sticking around.

We like Harris. So we're cool with that.

TBS has ordered a fourth season of the comedy series "My Boys." The new season will feature nine new episodes and will launch in 2010.

"My Boys has consistently grown its audience of young adults through a combination of funny, smartly written scripts, high-quality production and an enormously talented cast," said Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). "We look forward to working with the cast and crew on another successful season."

The show focuses on Pj Franklin, played by Jordana Spiro, who is a sport column writer for a major Chicago newspaper. At night, she hangs out with friends, playing poker or having drinks at the group's favorite bar, Crowley's.

The show also stars Kyle Howard, Reid Scott, Michael Bunin, Jamie Kaler and Kellee Stewart.

TBS has picked up its comedy series "My Boys" for a third season.

The network has ordered nine new episodes of "Boys," starring Jordana Spiro as a sportswriter looking for love. Kyle Howard, Reid Scott, Michael Bunin, Jamie Kaler, Jim Gaffigan and Kellee Stewart co-star in the series, which will return in the first quarter.

Betsy Thomas, the creator of "Boys," exec produces with Jamie Tarses and Gavin Polone. The comedy, from Pariah, Two Out Rally Prods. and Sony Pictures TV, debuted in 2006. In announcing the pickup, TBS cited, among other things, the show's growth from Season 1 to Season 2 by 1.5 million total viewers, a 14% increase.

"This past summer, 'My Boys' continued to catch on with audiences and critics," said Michael Wright, TBS' top programmer. "It's that truly rare television combination of a talented cast with great chemistry, extremely smart and funny writing and outstanding production."

TBS is looking to bring its comedy series My Boys, which had its season finale Monday night, back for a second season.

The cable network confirmed Monday that it is in talks for another season of the series from Sony Pictures Television, Pariah and Two Out Rally Prods. SPT declined comment.

My Boys debuted Nov. 28 as TBS' first original scripted comedy. In December, the network ordered nine additional episodes of the show, bringing the total number to 22. Those episodes debuted July 30, with back-to-back installments averaging 1.6 million total viewers, off only slightly from November's back-to-back series premiere (1.7 million) but up 4% in the adults 18-34 demo.

My Boys, starring Jordana Spiro as a twentysomething sportswriter who spends a lot of time with her male friends, is executive produced by writer-creator Betsy Thomas, Jamie Tarses and Gavin Polone. Jim Gaffigan, Kyle Howard, Reid Scott, Michael Bunin, Jamie Kaler and Kellee Stewart round out the cast.
