Jon is an indie actor/filmmaker, his first short film Metropolis Apocalypse was an official selection at the Cannes film Festival in 1988. Jon's first lead role in a feature film was in the much praised Welcome Says the Angel (2003) Kevin Thomas, of the Los Angeles Times selected the film as Best of the Weekend and raved that the characters were "Beautifully played by Jacobs and Hauer". Jon played the title role in Hungarian Film Week Winner Johnny Famous (2000) and directed and starred in the audacious Festival hit Lucinda's Spell (1998). In 2002 Jon created the Iconic "Neverdie" avatar inside the online MMORPG Entropia Universe, Neverdie made video game history and has became one of the most influential Avatars in the early Metaverse. In 2005 Jon co-directed and starred as DJ Hound Dog in the Musical Comedy DJ Hound Dog (2003) featuring a line up of many of the worlds top international DJ's. Jon's Company, NEVERDIE Studios created Virtual Destinations for Pop Icon "Michael Jackson" , Rock Legend "Lemmy Kilmister" and virtual movie adventures for Peter Jackson's King Kong and The THING (2011) in partnership with Universal Studios. Jon won the Outstanding Performance Award at the 2019 Method Fest film festival playing Walt Warshaw in William Wayne's award winning micro-budget thriller Lost Angelas (2019). In 2023 Jon won the Seymour Cassel Award for Best Actor at the Oldenburg International Film Festival 2023 for his portrayal of Legendary indie film producer Cassian Elwes in Elwes' directorial debut Passenger C (2023)
