O.E. Hasse was born on 11 July 1903 in Obersitzko, Prussia, Germany [now Obrzycko, Wielkopolskie, Poland]. He was an actor and writer, known for I Confess (1953), Deadly Decision (1954) and The Adventures of Arsène Lupin (1957). He died on 11 September 1978 in West Berlin, West Germany.

- TriviaSaturnine German character actor, often seen in military or authoritarian roles. The son of a blacksmith, he initially studied law in Berlin prior to taking acting classes at the Max-Reinhardt-Seminar in 1923. On stage in Prague and Berlin, subsequently long-standing member of the Munich Kammerspiele (1930-39). His theatrical and film career took off after World War II, with leading roles in The Ballad of Berlin (1948) and Deadly Decision (1954) (title role). Some international exposure in films by Hitchcock and Litvak and a prolific voice actor, the German dubbing voice for Charles Laughton, Humphrey Bogart, Spencer Tracy, Paul Muni and Clark Gable.
