Gerald Gordon used Neal Gordon early in his career as an actor due to a
name conflict in the acting union. As Neal Gordon he played Hank
Eastland on the TV soap The Edge of Night in 1959. He was born in
Ithaca, New York and is a graduate of Cornell University. Primarily a
producer/director, he has been most active in theatre where his
production of The Fantasticks holds the record for the longest running
musical in Los Angeles theatre history. As an acting teacher/coach, his
students include the Academy Award winner Adrien Brody with others
being Andrew Lauer, Christopher Titus, Bruce McGill, Joe Flanigan, Kari
Lizer, Nick Ernst, Greg Grunberg and others.
