At the age of 15, disguised with a false beard and with a fake ID and
$15, William Forsche ran away from his Wisconsin home and hitchhiked to
Hollywood. Forsche soon found work at Universal Studios Tour. It was
there he met make-up artist
David B. Miller who gave him
insights to the business and a great deal of encouragement. At the age
of 17, Forsche came home to Wisconsin to visit his family which led to
work with Wisconsin director Bill Rebane.
Forsche then went to New York and met with
Dick Smith whom he had been
corresponding with since he was 14. He provided fatherly advice, career
encouragement and guidance. Forsche went back to Hollywood to continue
his special effects make-up, and sculpting career. Forsche had also had
on-camera roles, including a werewolf in
Howling IV: The Original Nightmare (1988).
