Andrew Fleming is a highly accomplished director and screenwriter, most recently known for executive producing and directing the pilot of the hit Emmy-nominated Netflix series, Emily in Paris. A frequent collaborator of Darren Star, Fleming recently directed the pilot for Star's new series Uncoupled, starring Neil Patrick Harris. Fleming also directed the pilot and served as Executive Producer for Netflix's recent hit series Insatiable. In addition, he wrote and directed the 2018 feature Ideal Home starring Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan.
Previously, he directed and co-wrote three films: Hamlet 2 (which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival), the political comedy Dick, (a satire about the Nixon Watergate scandal, starring Kirsten Dunst, Michelle Williams, and Will Ferrell) as well as The Craft, starring Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell and Rachel True.
For the independent feature Threesome (which also premiered at Sundance), Fleming served as both director and sole screenwriter. He directed the feature film Nancy Drew starring Emma Roberts, and before that the comedy The In-Laws, teaming Michael Douglas with Albert Brooks.
Fleming studied filmmaking at New York University's film school, where P.P.T, one of his three award-winning student films, earned him a fellowship at Warner Brothers upon graduation. His filmmaking debut, the psychological thriller Bad Dreams, which he co-wrote and directed, teamed him with producer Gale Ann Hurd of Terminator, Aliens, and Walking Dead fame.
He has directed the television pilots for such shows as Grosse Pointe, Difficult People, Odd Mom Out, Bad Judge, as well as Uncoupled. He has also directed episodes for Arrested Development, New Girl, Red Oaks, Lady Dynamite, Younger, and Dolly Parton's Heartstrings -among others.
