Washington DC's own Nathaniel Martin Stroman, is best known as "Earthquake", an American stand-up comedian, actor, voice artist and radio personality. Earthquake is a prominent fixture on the stand-up comedy circuit and performs to sold out rooms all over the country and has done it for the past 30 years. As a radio personality, Earthquake got his start at New York City's famed WBLS where 'Quakehouse' was born. Years later, Earthquake would take Quakeshouse to SiriusXM and Kevin Hart's Laugh Out Loud Network where it has lived and become an audience favorite for the past several years.
In 2022, Earthquake received rave reviews for his Netflix special 'Chappelle's Home Team- Earthquake: Legendary' as it was named 'The Best Comedy Special of 2022' by the New York Times.
As an actor, Earthquake recently made a cameo appearance in Jerry Seinfeld's Netflix film entitled, 'Unfrosted' adding to his string of television and film credits.
Earthquake is a recurring character on 'The Neighborhood' for CBS and 'Johnson' for Bounce Television. He also appears in 'Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty' for Max. Earthquake is set to reprise his role of Uncle Mike in the forthcoming, 'Everybody Still Hates Chris', an animated series.
'Quake' as he is affectionately known, gained a significant audience during the height of stand-up comedy television programming the likes of HBO's 'One Night Stand' which aired August 26, 2005, 'Def Comedy Jam' and BET's 'Comic View'. His collection of comedy specials are lauded fan collectibles and are the stuff of legends. His prior film credits include a cameo in Kevin Smith's cult classic film 'Clerks II' (2006), and a supporting role in the film, 'The Longshots' (2008). He voiced Root the Rooster in the 2006 CGI film, 'Barnyard' and in the video game of the same title and continued to do so on the TV series spin-off, 'Back at the Barnyard'.
He has made numerous television appearances such as 'South Side' (2019) for Max, 'In the Cut' (2017), and more. However, Earthquake was beloved as Uncle Mike, on 'Everybody Hates Chris'.
