President Dwight D. Eisenhower once told an interviewer that his two favorite authors were Bliss Lomax and Will Ermine. Both Bliss Lomax and Will Ermine were pen names used by Harry Drago on many of his western novels.
Drago's "Wild, Wooly and Wicked" won the 1960 Buffalo Award for best western book an his "Great Range War", which he wrote at the age of 83, won the 1970 Western Heritage Award for the most outstanding western nonfiction book.
