An original star is not returning as a series regular.

The Hollywood Reporter shared the news of Campbell's exit but noted that the actress could return in future seasons.

Netflix made the announcement on its Tudum site, revealing that the series has been renewed for a third season. The 10 new episodes will be based on The Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in author Michael Connelly’s series of novels, on which the show is based.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will reprise his role as Mickey Haller and be back representing clients for a third season of The Lincoln Lawyer. Netflix officially confirmed the popular drama has been renewed for a 10-episode season three.

The series is based on Michael Connelly’s bestselling book series, and season three will be based on The Gods of Guilt – the fifth book of the series.

“The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again,” stated co-showrunners and executive producers Ted Humphrey (who developed the series for television) and Dailyn Rodriguez.

Additional executive producers include series creator David E. Kelley, author Michael Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, and Tana Jamieson.

The 10-episode third season will be based on the fifth book in Michael Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer series titled The Gods of Guilt. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return as Mickey Haller. Netflix has released the trailer of the highly anticipated “Rustin,” starring Colman Domingo.

The biopic tells the story of Bayard Rustin, the architect of 1963’s historic March on Washington, serving alongside giants such as Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., Adam Clayton Powell Jr., and Ella Baker as they dared to dream a better world.
