Chris Devlin(I)
- Actor
- Director
- Camera and Electrical Department
Chris was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in Baltimore, MD. Often playing the rugged guy who scrubs up well, he started his path on the directing side of the camera at Towson University (alma mater of Amy Schumer, John Glover, Kathleen Turner, etc.) where he began acting as a way to enhance his film making. He was one of the first non-Theater majors ever to be asked to Conservatory. While working on commercials and venturing into stand up comedy in Baltimore he got a job on a Craig Bolotin film with Juliet Lewis, Katherine Heigl and C. Thomas Howell who encouraged him to come to Los Angeles. He would work with Howell on four films that Howell directed. His first big breaks were John Woo's epic Windtalkers and The Nanny.
Since then he has had recurring and guest starring roles on TV as well as starring and supporting roles in numerous films. He has worked opposite Oscar, Emmy and Tony winners. His stage work includes critically acclaimed productions: opposite Eddie Jones in Death of A Salesman Odyssey Theater, Skylight Theatre Company's A Hatful of Rain as Johnny, Joe in Camelot Artists long running Balm in Gilead, Henry V in Henry V directed by Broadway legend Jaime Rogers, and starred in the L.A. hit Neil Simon's Fools directed by Anthony Barnao. When not acting he writes, directs, does stand up, and punishes himself on his mountain bike and in triathlons.
