John Bryant also known as John Bryant Davila was born in Brooklyn, New
York, USA. He became interested in acting during his last year of high
school. After graduating, he moved to Manhattan to study acting with
Lee Strasberg. He began writing and performing original theater pieces
with fellow actor/writer Alexis Artiles. This led to his being cast in
his first lead role in the critically acclaimed film "Latin Boys Go To
Hell" (2001) for Director Ela Troyano. Following the completion of the
film's successful run, he moved to Los Angeles and since then, he has
worked with many of the filmmakers in Hollywood. Credits include:
Americaneast, Ball Don't Lie, Blood Shot, Chicano Blood, Dark Crossing,
David & Fatima, Blue and the upcoming drama California Winter. He is a
well-accomplished actor.
Bryant began his career in the Kirk Franklin music video "Imagin Me" as the wounded amputee soldier returning home from Iraq in a wheelchair. The video has extensive on-air play and is well seen on MTV and VH1. He then Co-starred in the Leona Lewis music video "I Got You", and has since appeared in countless National Commercial Advertisements including for Wendy's, T-Mobile, Samsung and HSBC to name a few. John has studied with the Atlantic Theater Company in New York and credits his Method Acting technique to the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He divides his time between New York and Los Angeles. John is currently represented by Avenue Entertainment/Management.
