So why did it get canceled so quickly? Will there ever be a reunion? Oh, and also — what was "Ugly Betty" about, besides a girl named Betty who isn't as "pretty" as other women?
The show stars America Ferrera as the titular Betty Suarez, who, despite her braces and admittedly strange fashion sense, lands a job at Mode Magazine in Manhattan as an assistant to notorious womanizer Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius). Along the way, Betty ends up making some unlikely friends and allies, including Daniel himself — the two have a genuinely wholesome friendship, actually — but also has to face off against the imperious creative director of Mode, Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams), as...

The behind-the-scenes stories of television hits can sometimes be as intriguing as the drama that unfolds on screen. Such is the case with NCIS, where the bond between actors often mirrors the camaraderie of their on-screen personas.
Rocky Carroll, known for his role as Assistant Director Leon Vance, recently shed light on the surprising reason he landed his part on the show. His connection to a familiar face made all the difference, revealing the power of professional relationships in the world of showbiz.
Rocky Carroll admits he only knew 1 person connected to ‘NCIS’
Mark Harmon is a big part of the success of NCIS, but his role in the hit series spans beyond his work in front of the cameras. Turns out, he even got one of his friends cast for a part in the show.
Carroll joined the successful police drama as Assistant Director Leon Vance during the fifth season.

On August 5, 2003, the Fox network premiered The O.C., a teen drama set against the lush backdrop of Newport Beach, California, about the chaos that ensues when wealthy lawyer Sandy Cohen (Peter Gallagher) takes Ryan Atwood (Ben McKenzie), a kid from the wrong side of the tracks, to live with his family in their huge McMansion. The show was an instant sensation, making stars out of McKenzie, Mischa Barton (as fragile Newport princess Marissa Cooper), Adam Brody (as Sandy’s nerdy son Seth), and Rachel Bilson (as Seth’s forever crush...

Pour one out for the Carringtons — The CW’s Dynasty reboot has been canceled after five seasons.
As of April 26, Dynasty this season is averaging 410,000 total weekly viewers and a 0.1 demo rating (with Live+7 playback factored in), which is right on par with its Season 4 tallies. Amanda Carrington's arrival was more low-key than anticipated.
Dynasty Season 4 Episode 16 finally introduced the other secret child, and if you thought there would have been fireworks, well, we're sorry to tell you that it was a bit of a dud.
Maybe we're supposed to believe Amanda is more low-key than siblings Adam and Fallon, but this being Dynasty, it should have been infused with much more drama.
It was typical of Fallon to balk initially at the idea of having any relation to Amanda, but we've witnessed people traveling from far and wide to declare they have a claim to the Carrington name, so who could blame her?
Amanda's arrival was sad because Alexis had finally turned a corner with Fallon and Adam, but all of it imploded the moment Amanda's identity was exposed.
The more likely scenario for the rest of Dynasty Season 4 is that Alexis will try...

Eliza Bennett has been cast in the role of Amanda Carrington on The CW’s “Dynasty.”
Bennett joins Season 4 in a recurring guest star role, with her first episode being “The British Are Coming” on Aug. 27. She will be a series regular in the forthcoming fifth season.
The original 1980s primetime soap opera “Dynasty” featured Catherine Oxenberg in the role of Amanda for the first three years of the character’s existence. (Her apt entrance was in the fifth season episode titled “Amanda.”) Karen Cellini stepped in in recasting.
This version of Amanda is described as a long-lost Carrington relative who was born and raised in Europe but arrives now “holding a treasure trove of secrets” — both from her past, as well as the Carrington family’s past. She is also described as smart and confident, a character who can hold her own against those who come at her. She is a lawyer,...

If there's one thing Dynasty Season 4 has lacked, it's the complicated dynamic between Fallon and Alexis.
Thankfully, Dynasty Season 4 Episode 15 puts the focus back on the fraught relationship between the mother and daughter.
"With Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) occupied by her business ventures, Liam (Adam Huber) is left feeling neglected and Fallon and Alexis (Elaine Hendrix) are at odds once again," the official logline reads.
If you watch Dynasty online, you know these two love getting into an argument and it gives Gillies and Hendrix a fun dynamic to work with.
The sad thing is that it looks like Liam's tale will be tied to it. The show has sort of forgotten about Liam this season, regularly putting him on the backburner, so hopefully that changes.
As for Alexis, she's going to be in a world of trouble when the truth inevitably comes out that she's partly responsible for Kirby going off the deep end.

Spoiler Alert: The following story contains details from Friday’s episode of Dynasty.
In the latest episode of The CW’s Dynasty, we finally learned who is being mourned at the funeral, which has been teased since the season premiere.
That would be Joseph Anders, the beloved majordomo of the Carrington family, played by Alan Dale.
According to TVLine, it was the beginning of the end for Anders when he suffered an injury to his ribs, while saving Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) and Liam (Adam Huber) from a pair of kidnappers.
The injury didn’t lead directly to the butler’s death. But while driving to the hospital to visit Cristal (Daniella Alonso), who has been undergoing treatments for a brain tumor, the resulting pain distracted him, causing him to crash his car.
Dale had been a series regular on Dynasty since it debuted in 2017. His final episode, “Go Rescue Someone Else,...

“Who’s in the casket?” It’s the question Dynasty fans have been asking all season, and Friday’s episode finally gave them their answer — for better or worse.
We’ve waited long enough for this reveal, so we won’t bother beating around the bush: While saving Fallon and Liam from a pair of mustache-twirling kidnappers, Anders (played by Alan Dale since the reboot premiered in 2017) suffered an injury to his ribs that proved to be tragically fatal. Well, the injury isn’t technically what killed him, but the pain did distract him during a drive to visit Cristal in the hospital,...

I think we can all agree that Dynasty is killing off one of its female characters.
Dynasty Season 4 Episode 11 continued to peel back the layers to give us a new wave of potential victims, and quite frankly, it's going the predictable route.
Cristal dying at this stage would be too on the nose because of everything she's been through throughout the last two seasons.
Add in the fact that the show has had three iterations of the character, then we get our answer that she most definitely is not dying.
Her prognosis is bleak, but Dynasty has never been a show about keeping things grounded.
The purpose of the show is to have the most outlandish plots out there, and Adam threatening Karen to get the clinical trial off the ground was just par for the course.
Threatening Karen was a huge move, but he got the result he wanted,...

This is a different bit of casting news for The CW's Dynasty.
Whenever there are cast changes for the reboot, they almost always include a beloved series regular exiting.
However, just hours ahead of Dynasty Season 3, it has been revealed that four cast members have been promoted to series regular status.
TV Line is reporting that Adam Huber, who plays Liam Ridley on the first two seasons of the series, has finally landed a series regular contract.
It's surprising the network confirmed the news before Dynasty Season 3 Episode 1 airing given that Dynasty Season 2 concluded with Liam's fate very much up in the air.
Still, this will be music to the ears of the fans that have been clamoring for more of Liam ever since his debut on the series.
Liam shares a strong connection with Fallon, and one that fans picked up on from the get-go.

When ABC’s “Lost” premiered on Sept. 22, 2004, it was a risky investment and the most expensive television pilot ever made. For one, it shot on location in Hawaii complete with extremely realistic plane wreckage and explosions. But it soon turned into a cultural milestone that would forever change the face of television.
“Lost” was a “water cooler” show the likes of which we may never see again, from a time when audiences still gathered with friends and family on their sofas once a week in front of television sets to watch. Afterwards, they rushed to their desktop computers to post fan theories on the internet’s first chat rooms. It was a time before binge-watching, when “Previously on Lost” provided an essential recap of the most recent flashbacks, flashforwards and flash-sideways; mad-dashes through the jungle; encounters with the smoke monster; Dharma Initiative experiments; polar bears; questions like “What lies in the shadow of the statue?...
