You’re not gone until you’re gone. At least that’s what I told people when they realized it took eight seasons for “Fear the Walking Dead” to wrap up.
“Fear” bested predictions and became one of the longest-running television spin-offs currently on air. While ratings dwindled and characters were written off over the years, it maintained a decent cult following — some tuning in for Alycia Debnam-Carey, who came into her own as an actress on the show following “The 100,” while others begrudgingly watched to keep up with the “Walking Dead” universe, after characters like Morgan (Lennie James), Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry (Christine Evangelista) were transferred from the original series.
A key to its success, “Fear” never shied away from a soft reboot. Every season tackled a new approach to its storytelling, sometimes in the span of a few episodes. Early seasons of “Fear” felt migratory even,...

“Perd Hapley is the lynchpin of an unlikely TV multiverse” is the name of the article you’re reading. And it will begin … right now.
NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation features the deepest bench of hilarious supporting characters you’ll ever see outside of The Simpsons‘ Springfield. But even among a murderer’s row of comedic talent like Joan Callamezzo (Mo Collins), Jean-Ralphio Saperstein (Ben Schwartz), and Tammy II Swanson (Megan Mullally), there’s one resident of Pawnee who stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Local news broadcaster Perd Hapley (Jay Jackson) is quite simply a TV icon. Blessed with a very distinct vocal style (that the Parks and Rec fandom Wiki accurately categorizes as “semantically redundant”), Perd often turns up on Parks and Recreation to help describe what’s happening … literally.
As the host of venerated south central Indiana TV institutions like Ya Heard? With Perd!, The Final Word With Perd,...

After a few rough years, one could make a compelling argument that the broadcast comedy is back. We’ve got an awards juggernaut (ABC’s Abbott Elementary), some reasonably big hits (NBC’s Night Court, CBS’ Ghosts), plus a decent roster of above-average relative newcomers (NBC’s American Auto and Grand Crew, among others). It’s enough to restore your confidence in the format.
What does restored confidence buy you on a practical level? More specifically, how many episodes worth of patience does it buy you when your friendly neighborhood television critic tells you that a new sitcom with a wildly promising cast is doing something interesting, something with actual potential … but that in order to get to that potential, you have to sit through at least three or four episodes I’d (generously) call unamusingly generic and unsteady of tone? The TV academy has honored voice-only performances since 1992, when six cast members from “The Simpsons” collectively became the first actors to receive Emmys for such work. The Best Voice-Over Performance category became an official non-juried one in 2009 and was then split into two categories in 2014: Best Character Voice-Over and Best Narrator. Harry Shearer (“The Simpsons”) made history as the former category’s first champion, having been nominated once before for the same series.
The 2022 Best Character Voice-Over ballot list below consists of a whopping 222 performances. Seeking a third consecutive victory is Maya Rudolph, who plays Connie the Hormone Monstress on “Big Mouth.” Also in the mix are former winners Shearer, Hank Azaria (“The Simpsons”), Alex Borstein (“Family Guy”), and Seth MacFarlane (“Family Guy”).

"Parks and Recreation" is many things: an incredibly optimistic show about the good that can come from government work, a love letter to small towns, and laugh-out-loud comedy among them. Much like "The Simpsons," however, "Parks and Recreation" is also a show with a phenomenal ensemble of characters you could easily picture having their own spinoff series where we see the daily lives of background characters.
From Joan Callamezzo (Mo Collins) and Perd Hapley (Jay Jackson) to Bobby Newport (Paul Rudd) and Ethel Beavers (Helen Slayton-Hughes), the show gave us countless memorable characters. But perhaps none remain as popular and funny as Ben Schwartz's lovable idiot, Jean-Ralphio...

Strand's reign of terror could be ending very soon.
AMC provided TV Fanatic with an exclusive look at Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 7, titled "The Portrait."
The highly-anticipated episode finds Morgan inside the Tower.
If you watch Fear the Walking Dead online, you know the show has pit the two men against one another.
They make a deal in the clip, but before they get time to toast to it, exploding walkers gear up to invade the Tower.
In Strand's mind, this tower is a safe haven that is free from the perils of the outside world.
But the latest group of villains are here to prove otherwise.
The scene is filled with twists and turns as Morgan and Strand react to the developments, and the Tower begins to shake due to an explosive.
At least one of the walkers is thrown through the window, but the pair manage to throw it back out.

The world as our favorite characters knows it is over.
That might seem like a strange observation when you consider the fact they've spent years fighting for survival in a zombie apocalypse, but now they have a new world to endure, one that is filled with radiation and new perils.
One of those perils appears to be good old Victor Strand (Colman Domingo).
While the freshly released Comic-Con clips for Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 spends a lot of time on the events of the nuclear blast, it does begin to paint a picture of what we can expect when the series returns later this year.
The characters have been haunted by the sins of the past for so long that there's no telling how far they will be pushed to survive.

Fear The Walking Dead will be on the hunt when the AMC spinoff returns this fall, as it was made clear Saturday during the series’ Comic-Con@Home panel.

And I think I can speak for most viewers when I say I’m extremely curious about what’s gonna happen now that Isabelle, Al’s girlfriend from the Civic Republic — those are the baddies from “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” — is apparently now taking an active role in events on “Fear.”

In giving us a taste as to what we can expect in the upcoming final season of Netflix’s animated series, “F is for Family,” showrunner Michael Price explains that the show is going to pick up exactly where it left off at the end of season four. “This last season will take place largely during the course of the end of 1974; the end of October through Christmas. Our final episode is set on Christmas Day,” he explains in our recent webchat (watch the exclusive video above). Frank (voiced by Bill Burr) will continue dealing with the relationship with his father (Jonathan Banks) as he’s also going through becoming a father again with the arrival of his fourth child. Sue (Laura Dern) will also have to deal with her family along with the appearance of her estranged gay brother, who’s only been talked about up to this point.

After being forced to enter a hiatus earlier than planned due to Covid-19, we finally have a return date for Fear the Walking Dead.
AMC announced today that the second half of Fear the Walking Dead 6, featuring nine all-new episodes, will return on Sunday, April 11 at 9 pm/8c.
A new episode of Talking Dead will air later that evening, which probably means something huge is about to go down.
The talk-show spinoff typically airs after the episodes that feature the biggest drama, and given the way Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 7 ended, we're inclined to believe the drama will be off the rails for our characters as they navigate uncharted waters.
As has been the norm for a while now, new episodes of Fear the Walking Dead will also be available early on AMC+ each week.

The last time we saw Morgan (Lennie James), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and the other survivors on “Fear The Walking Dead,” they were planning on traveling to the new place Morgan was building. Paul Feig is back with his sci-fi comedy series Other Space. It was originally aired on Yahoo! Screen back in 2015, but was cancelled shortly after, due to the platform being no longer viable. The digital platform Dust has now picked it up and is scheduled to host the series in August.
Other Space takes place in the distant future, the year 2105, where the Universal Mapping Projects (Ump) has been created by a multi-national corporate coalition. Their intention is – “to explore the universe for the purpose of scientific inquiry”. F is for Family Season 4 is coming soon to Netflix.
The animated sitcom, set in the U.S. suburbs in the 1970s, brandishes adult-themes that render it not quite fit for primetime network television. Yet, its driving force has been its central character, irascible family man and Korean War veteran, Frank Murphy, a La-z-Boy-riding bell-bottom-era bygone generational mouthpiece for the PC-pulverizing rants of comedian Bill Burr; a character who could be described as an animated amalgam of Archie Bunker and Al Bundy.
Burr co-created F is for Family with Michael Price, a writer and co-executive producer on Fox’s The Simpsons and Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles and Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales. Along with the creative duo, the show’s array of executive producers consists of Vince Vaughn, Peter Billingsley, Katie O’Connell, Elisa Todd Ellis, Sidonie Dumas and Christophe Riandee.

(Yes, we know the song is technically called “5,000 Candles in the Wind.”)
The Zoom concert lifted Leslie Knope’s (Amy Poehler) spirits, and we guarantee it will do the same for you.
Watch the video above.
Mouse Rat still rocks.

The special served as a fundraiser for Feeding America and also as a pretty good advertising tool for NBCUniversal’s streaming service, Peacock, which is where the “Parks” archive now exists.
The reunion episode was a packed (virtual) house: In addition to Poehler and Pratt, Rashida Jones (Ann Perkins), Aziz Ansari (Tom Haverford), Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson), Aubrey Plaza (April Ludgate), Chris Pratt...

Remote production is getting better and better.
“Saturday Night Live’s” second installment during the ongoing quarantine was noticeably more elegantly done than the first. Newscasts and late-night shows, though not quite seamless, are looking less cobbled-together. And “Parks and Recreation’s” reunion special, intended to raise funds for and bring awareness to the food-insecure population during the coronavirus crisis, managed to approximate both something closer to TV-sitcom production values than might have been expected and some of the bonhomie of the original, even with its cast separated.
The thirty-minute special was plot-light — taking place within some version of our reality and coping with isolation, the show’s cast, led by Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope, now a government official, communicated through video calls as a way more of keeping tabs on one another than sharing what was new with them. This was less an opportunity to move a story...

“This is not the way TV is be supposed to be made.”
This was Michael Schur, co-creator of Parks and Recreation, on a call with reporters earlier this week to discuss the improbable creation and production of A Parks and Recreation Special. The half-hour bonus episode of the beloved NBC comedy, which aired its series finale back in 2015, was conceived as a way to raise money for Feeding America. Written by Schur and many other Parks and Rec alums, and featuring virtually the entire cast(*), plus familiar friends who guest-starred in the original run,...

HBO and the UK’s Sky are teaming up for Landscapers, a four-part miniseries inspired by real events and exploring the the lives of convicted killers Susan (to be played by Academy Award and Golden Globe winner/The Crown star Olivia Colman) and Christopher Edwards.
Described as a “blackly comic, narratively playful true crime drama,” as directed by Oscar winner Alexander Payne (Sideways), Landscapers will ask how this devoted and mild-mannered couple came to kill Susan’s parents and bury them in the back garden of their Mansfield home, in a crime that remained undiscovered for over a decade.

Zoe Colletti is joining Fear The Walking Dead as a new series regular for the upcoming sixth season of the AMC series. Additionally, we’ll be seeing more of Sarah and Wes. Mo Collins and Colby Hollman, who have recurred, respectively, as the characters, have been promoted to series regulars for the new season. No details are being revealed about Colletti’s character, other than it is “a pivotal new role that will unfurl as the season progresses.”
Collins’ Sarah was introduced in season four after encountering Morgan (Lennie James) at a truck stop. She then joins the group, along with her brother, on their mission to help those in need. Hollman’s Wes, though initially reluctant to accept help from the group, eventually comes around to their philosophy and joins them, only to be split up by Virginia (Colby Minifie) in the season finale.
