- He was a page boy at the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on June 2, 1953.
- Split with musical partner, Chad Stuart, in the late 1960s and returned to England in order to pursue his true passion, acting. The two would reunite on and off through the 1970s and 1980s, before reuniting in the late 1990s on a permanent basis.
- Formed, with Chad Stuart, the 1960s singing duo, Chad and Jeremy. They were initially produced by John Barry & then by Shel Talmy.

- Appeared in "Passion Flower Hotel", a 1965 stage musical written by John Barry & Trevor Peacock. The show ran for 6 months at The Prince Of Wales theatre, London and also starred: Karin Fernald, Michael Cashman, Jane Birkin, Francesca Annis, Pauline Collins, Nicky Henson and Bill Kenwright.
- Has two children with Vanessa Shanks. Daughter, Lucy Sophia Clyde, was born on 5 December 1971 and son, Matthew Clyde (Matthew Thomas Clyde), was born on 16 October 1974.
- Had two younger brothers, Robin (died 1950) and William.
- He played Captain Arthur Hastings in a BBC Radio 4 adaptation of "The Murder on the Links" in 1990. He shares the role with Hugh Fraser, who played his ancestor, the Duke of Wellington, in Sharpe (1993).
- Clyde has read for a number of audiobooks, including "The Midwich Cuckoos," the John Wyndham novel on which the movie "Village of the Damned" was based.
