After receiving his undergraduate degree in history from Towson
University, Patrick worked as a middle school teacher for several years
in Baltimore County. He later moved to Los Angeles where he received
his M.F.A. in film production from the University of Southern California.
There he produced and directed several short films including Coming
Home, an award-winning short about a young man dealing with the
unexpected return of his troubled father.
After graduating, he worked in various aspects of production and post-production and has been nominated for and won several awards. Since 2005 he has been working as the production sound mixer and dialogue editor for the hit television show Family Guy and as the TEMP music editor for The Orville since 2017.
