Larysa Chernienko

Film and Fashion industry makeup artist, Larysa Chernienko, has been collaborating with top fashion photographers and movie directors for over 40 years. She has worked on epic TV projects including, 19-2 second season block- 1, The Mohawk Girls and The Last Chapter. Her roster of films is comprised of masterpieces like 300, Catch Me If You Can, The Terminal, Blades of Glory, and Titanic: The Aftermath-just to name a few.
In 1992, Larysa received an Emmy Award nomination for The Lily Tomlin Show. By 2008, she was the winner of the CRÉA/Grand Prix Artisan Award for Best Makeup Artist, and that same year, she was also nominated for a Gémeaux for René Lévesque. Born in Canada raised in the former Soviet Union, Larysa studied film makeup in Moscow. In the early 1970's she went to Paris to study fashion makeup. She studied SPFX makeup with Dick Smith and Stan Winston. Today Larysa is busy working on movie projects, writing a makeup book, teaching professional makeup courses and 3day Makeup Master Class workshops. Her extensive knowledge in every aspect of makeup, gives her the ability to seamlessly transition from Fashion, Film and SPFX. Her makeup philosophy is, "Less is more" !
