Dool fans are bracing themselves for the emotional funeral of Doug Williams after Bill Hayes’ passing. But will the show bring back Doug’s daughter Hope and her beloved Bo for the tribute?
Dool To Mourn Doug Williams, Celebrate Bill Hayes
Daytime television lost one of the greats in early 2024 when actor Bill Hayes passed away at the age of 98. He played Doug Williams on Days Of Our Lives for over 50 years. His real-life wife, Susan Seaforth Hayes, played Julie Williams, Doug’s wife.
The characters became the show’s matriarch and patriarch after the passing of Alice and Tom Horton (Frances Reid and Macdonald Carey.)
Days of Our Lives plans to kill off Doug Williams to pay tribute to both Bill Hayes and the character at the same time. The soap films months in advance, which means the funeral won’t air until December.

Parents undoubtedly love their children, but every now and then, they want some time off. That’s where a babysitter or nanny comes in. If everything goes to plan, these domestic godsends can be in and out in a few hours with some extra money in hand, as well as the satisfaction of knowing they helped ease a parent’s stress for a short while.
However, not every one of these caregivers (or their charges) gets off scot-free; the ones in horror count themselves lucky if they can go home after their excruciating ordeals.
And as these five dreadful episodes from TV anthology series demonstrate, childcare can be downright scary…

Genre movies based in the home usually take one of a few routes. They can be a haunted house tale, they can be a home invasion movie or they can be something else. Anyone Home? sits nicely in that ‘something else’ category.
It centres on a single mum, Camila (Monique Gabriela Curnen), who is struggling financially and mentally while bringing up her son. She thinks her luck has changed though when she gets a job house-sitting a model home. All she has to do is decorate the house to look good for when would be buyers look round. But it doesn’t take too long for even that to be too much for her.

Well it seems that Nickelodeon has indeed cancelled Sam & Cat. The sitcom is ending after one extended season.
A combined spin-off of Victorious and iCarly, Sam & Cat finds Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande) becoming friends and roommates. To make money they start an after-school babysitting business. Maree Cheatham, Cameron Ocasio, and Zoran Korach co-star.
The series was initially picked up for 20 episodes and they started airing in June 2013. It was such a big hit that the cable channel ordered 20 more after just one month of airings.
The series was on track to be renewed for a second season but some backstage issues derailed Sam & Cat towards the end of its first year of production, resulting in only 36 episodes being produced.

As if Bluebell didn't already have enough hot men romancing the ladies on "Hart of Dixie," another is coming to town.
"All My Children" alum Eddie Matos has just been cast on The CW series, THR reports.
Matos landed the recurring role of Enrique, the "gorgeous" Latino driver for Grandma Bettie Breeland (Maree Cheatham). Enrique is saving money to attend poetry school, because swoon. He is described as passionate, charming, and incredibly romantic (of course).
And since a hot guy can't live in Bluebell without getting tangled up romantically with one of our favorite "Hart of Dixie" ladies, Enrique will attempt to win the heart of ... well, we don't know who yet, but with his combination of good looks, responsible and caring profession, and a knack for romance, we don't doubt he'll be successful in matters of the heart.
Which Bluebell lady do you think will get swept up by Enrique's good looks and charm?...

The average fan of Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat is probably too young to know who Laverne & Shirley are, but that’s about to change. The highly popular ABC sitcom of the late ’70s and early 80′s is having a little reunion thanks to the kids show.
Nickelodeon announced this week that Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams would be happy guest stars in an episode of Sam & Cat, its teen sitcom that premiered June 8, 2013 and is a crossover spin-off of both iCarly and Victorious.
In Sam & Cat, Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande play the titular friends who start a baby-sitting business. It also stars Cameron Ocasio and Maree Cheatham.
Though Laverne & Shirley ran for 8 seasons, until the year 1983, Marshall and Williams portrayed roommates of the ’50s and ’60s era. Their characters Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney worked in a Milwaukee brewery.

This writer hit the set of the then-shooting Patrick Cunningham-directed feature Model Home in the La area enclave of Santa Clarita on July 9th and while there chatted with the filmmaker regarding the project as well as with co-producer Will Clevinger (The Devil’s Carnival) and more.
Shooting Day 19 of 20 in the entirely suburban and seemingly white-bread environ, it was hard not to feel that aliens with a hankering for Reese’s Pieces and nuclear families with daughters named "Carol Anne" would both feel entirely comfortable on the set of Model Home. The rented residence in which the production had set up shop and the homes that surrounded it were dotted with manicured lawns and tricycles with colorful handle-bar streamers, abandoned apparently by the pre-pubescent children who had ridden them. Smart perhaps, as what was shooting inside Model Home was fairly disconnected from the tranquility the family-centric locale strove for.

Acting is perhaps one of the more glamorous of occupations but some of the pressures and demands of the profession have caused many of television's actors and actresses to retreat behind a satisfying hobby after the show.
Such is the case for many of the cast of NBC's Days Of Our Lives, the Monday-through-Friday dramatic series (2 p.m. Channels 6, 7, 11).
Each morning the Horton family and significant outsiders on the show get involved in some pretty emotional crises either in Dr. Tom Horton's (Macdonald Carey) hospital office or at the home he shares with Mrs. Horton (Frances Reid).
