During the annual “Day of Days” fan event last Saturday, Peacock released an all-new promo previewing what’s to come on “Days of our Lives” as the series celebrates its 60th anniversary season.

Featuring the returns of several fan favorites, including Martha Madison (Belle Black), Brandon Beemer (Shawn Brady), Christie Clark (Carrie Brady), Chandler Massey (Will Horton), Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady), Lamon Archey (Eli Grant), Sal Stowers (Lani Price-Grant), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton), Charles Shaughnessy (Shane Donovan), Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton) and Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady), among others, the daytime drama series will also see big revelations, intense drama, rekindled romance and a world of mystery.

Daytime television lost one of the greats in early 2024 when actor Bill Hayes passed away at the age of 98. He played Doug Williams on Days Of Our Lives for over 50 years. His real-life wife, Susan Seaforth Hayes, played Julie Williams, Doug’s wife.

The characters became the show’s matriarch and patriarch after the passing of Alice and Tom Horton (Frances Reid and Macdonald Carey.)

Days of Our Lives plans to kill off Doug Williams to pay tribute to both Bill Hayes and the character at the same time. The soap films months in advance, which means the funeral won’t air until December.

Well it seems that Nickelodeon has indeed cancelled Sam & Cat. The sitcom is ending after one extended season.

A combined spin-off of Victorious and iCarly, Sam & Cat finds Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande) becoming friends and roommates. To make money they start an after-school babysitting business. Maree Cheatham, Cameron Ocasio, and Zoran Korach co-star.

The series was initially picked up for 20 episodes and they started airing in June 2013. It was such a big hit that the cable channel ordered 20 more after just one month of airings.

The series was on track to be renewed for a second season but some backstage issues derailed Sam & Cat towards the end of its first year of production, resulting in only 36 episodes being produced.

Matos landed the recurring role of Enrique, the "gorgeous" Latino driver for Grandma Bettie Breeland (Maree Cheatham). Enrique is saving money to attend poetry school, because swoon. He is described as passionate, charming, and incredibly romantic (of course).

The average fan of Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat is probably too young to know who Laverne & Shirley are, but that’s about to change. The highly popular ABC sitcom of the late ’70s and early 80′s is having a little reunion thanks to the kids show.

Nickelodeon announced this week that Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams would be happy guest stars in an episode of Sam & Cat, its teen sitcom that premiered June 8, 2013 and is a crossover spin-off of both iCarly and Victorious.

In Sam & Cat, Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande play the titular friends who start a baby-sitting business. It also stars Cameron Ocasio and Maree Cheatham.

This writer hit the set of the then-shooting Patrick Cunningham-directed feature Model Home in the La area enclave of Santa Clarita on July 9th and while there chatted with the filmmaker regarding the project as well as with co-producer Will Clevinger (The Devil’s Carnival) and more.

Shooting Day 19 of 20 in the entirely suburban and seemingly white-bread environ, it was hard not to feel that aliens with a hankering for Reese’s Pieces and nuclear families with daughters named "Carol Anne" would both feel entirely comfortable on the set of Model Home. The rented residence in which the production had set up shop and the homes that surrounded it were dotted with manicured lawns and tricycles with colorful handle-bar streamers, abandoned apparently by the pre-pubescent children who had ridden them. Smart perhaps, as what was shooting inside Model Home was fairly disconnected from the tranquility the family-centric locale strove for.

As we told you back in December, Ed Asner is headed for a Mary Tyler Moore reunion with his old costar Betty White on TV Land’s throwback sitcom Hot in Cleveland. And now, EW has the exclusive first look at his role on the show, which finds him playing Jameson Lyons, the president of a prestigious country club in Cleveland.

The video below presents Asner in all his sitcom glory, going toe to toe with Cleveland’s three hotties, Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli), Joy (Jane Leeves), and Victoria (Wendie Malick), as they make an attempt to join his country club.
