Matthew Broderick is married to Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and recently revealed why he never appeared in the HBO series.

In a new interview, the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off opened up about why he never guest-starred in Parker’s show.

“Whenever there was a part that I could do, I couldn’t do it is really all that happened,” Broderick said on James Corden’s SiriusXM show This Life of Mine (via People). “But also sometimes, it was like, ‘Do you want to do two days as the premature ejaculator?’ And I’d be like, ‘You know, I don’t know, it’s just kind of embarrassing.’”

Carrie has another shot with Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) following Season 2. Miranda will continue to explore her sexuality, without Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez), and Charlotte is looking to expand beyond the bounds of motherhood.

The core four group of women featured in Daren Starr’s original series Sex and the City all made appearances in Season 2 with one notable cameo at the very end.

The “Sex and the City” alum tweeted that she will not reprise her role for Season 3 of revival series “And Just Like That.” Cattrall briefly appeared in the Season 2 finale in a scene filmed separate from the core cast.

Life & Style reported that Cattrall was set to be back for Season 3, with a source telling the outlet that Cattrall would again film away from the rest of the cast. The publication said HBO was “bending over backwards to pay her an absolute fortune, and it’s all on her terms because she’s so central to the franchise.”

Not true, according to the actress herself.

“Aw that’s so kind but I’m not,” Cattrall commented when an Elle UK article claiming her return was reposted on X.

Fans have recently been finding fake filming notices for Max’s Sex and the City reboot posted around the city and sharing them on social media. Many of them feature wild plot details about the third season, which is currently being filmed.

“After getting hit by a Citi Bike, Carrie retains Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) from Liar Liar as her lawyer,” one notice read, while another added, “Carries goes on a bad date with Mr. Bean (the character) and then accidentally sends him a nude.”

A third flyer shared online also included a fake storyline about Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) telling her friends at brunch that “she is Garfield the cat.”

While season 2 left Carrie waiting for Aidan’s youngest son to age out of his troubled teen years so they could resume their romance, it doesn’t look like she’ll be waiting alone.

Last week, it was revealed that three new guest stars would be joining the cast. While the team behind the Sex and the City reboot didn’t share how they will factor into the ladies’ lives, two of the three new stars have been spotted on set. At least one of those new characters appears to be portraying a love interest for Carrie. We have yet to determine what that means for Carrie and Aidan.

Sebastiano Pigazzi (who plays Giuseppe) and Dolly Wells (Joy) have been promoted to series regulars ahead of Season 3, Max announced Thursday. In addition, Sarah Jessica Parker and co. will be joined by three brand-new cast members. Mehcad Brooks (Law & Order), Jonathan Cake (The Affair) and Logan Marshall-Green (Upgrade) have all officially joined the series.

“And Just Like That” has added Logan Marshall-Green, Mehcad Brooks and Jonathan Cake to its Season 3 cast as recurring guest stars.

Additionally, Season 2 recurring guest stars Sebastiano Pigazzi and Dolly Wells have been upped to series regulars.

Pigazzi plays Giuseppe, who dates Anthony (Mario Cantone), while Wells plays Joy, a colleague of Miranda (Cynthia Nixon). Character details for Marshall-Green, Brooks and Cake are not yet known.

Marshall-Green is best known for films including 2018’s “Upgrade” and 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” On TV, he’s appeared in “When They See Us,” “The O.C.” and “Damnation,” most recently starring in “Big Sky.” He is repped by 3 Arts Entertainment, CAA and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.

Brooks has played detective Jalen Shaw in “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “Law & Order: Organized Crime.” His other credits include “Mortal Kombat” and “Mortal Kombat 2” as well as “Desperate Housewives” and “Necessary Roughness.

Max’s And Just Like That… is shaping its third season with three new cast additions and two promotions as production continues in New York City.

Mehcad Brooks, Jonathan Cake and Logan Marshall-Green are set to recur in new roles.

Sebastiano Pigazzi and Dolly Wells are getting bumped up to series regulars. They will return as Giuseppe, Anthony’s (Mario Cantone) new love interest in Season 2 and Joy, a possible new love interest for Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) who loves greyhounds more than children, respectively.

Additionally, John Corbett has been spotted on set following the latest heartbreaking break between his Aidan Shaw and Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker). Are they going to try to make their relationship work even though Aidan’s underage sons still need him? I mean, she bought that massive house to fill with family and love.

Not only was DC’s Stargirl an apparent casualty of the changes underway at The CW under new owner Nexstar, but a potential spinoff may have been thrown out with the bath water.

Back in Season 2, the DC series introduced the character of Jennie Hayden aka Jade (played by Ysa Penarejo), the daughter of Green Lantern Alan Scott. Having aged out of a group home, Jennie at the time was struggling with her own, recently discovered green energy-based powers, while also wondering where her twin brother Todd had landed.

Just in time for the Halloween season, Marvel has unveiled a trailer for the latest Spidey-centric series, "Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man." This new miniseries promises a darker take on the web-slinger, with demons in the City of Angels. The synopsis for the book reads as follows:

Exclusive: DC’s Stargirl has found its Eclipso and The Shade – two of its primary villains for the series’ upcoming Season 2 on the CW. Exclusive: Julianne Moore, Don Cheadle, Sanaa Lathan, Rebecca Hall, Chris Cooper, Alessandro Nivola, Emily Mortimer, Rosie Perez and Debra Winger are among the all-star cast of innovative feature With/In, a made-at-home anthology film revolving around themes of confinement and isolation.

Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray’s newly rebranded Maven Screen Media (American Honey) is in production on the two-hour feature, which is a collection of short films made during lockdown by a slew of top actors and directors. Scroll down for the full list of participants.

The project was initiated when Maven and Emmy-winning writer-producer Margaret Nagle (Boardwalk Empire) asked actor-director families and friends to come up with stories about life stuck inside. Storylines include a couple stuck together after a one night stand, kids scheming to run away from their paranoid dad, a divorced couple isolating together for the sake of their dog, and a widow dealing with her grief.

Promos for Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy promised that you would get “the paternity results you’ve been waiting for.” But the show has such a habit of faking us out that I — and perhaps you, too — went into the episode wondering if we’d really be told whether Owen or Link is the father of Amelia’s baby. Aand… did we find out which of the guys would end up passing out cigars? Did at least Amelia learn whose name should go in the “dad” section of the birth certificate? Read on…

This also went under the working title of Little Faith while in production. The film stars French actress Ana Girardot as Marin, a young French woman living in New York City after a tragedy. She soon finds herself disconnected from her body, boyfriend, and her family. During a tumultuous weekend, highlighted by many chance encounters with a stranger and an ex-boyfriend, she starts to find her voice. Also starring Grégory Fitoussi, Jonathan Cake, Jay Wilkison, Lucy Walters, and Katerina Tannenbaum. This looks like a very sensual, intimate self-realization drama with a strong lead performance. This week on The Affair, another brief glimpse into the future reveals the fate of Joshua Jackson’s Cole Lockhart.

In the closing moments of Episode 4, Joanie takes Alison’s bike out for a ride to the Lockhart family burial site. Among those six feet under is her father, Cole, whose whereabouts (or lack thereof) had not been fully addressed before Sunday’s installment. In the scene, Joanie crouches down in the graveyard and says, “Hi, Dad.” We then cut to a closeup of Cole’s tombstone, which implies that her father lived to be 74 years old. His cause of death is not disclosed.

The Affair‘s Whitney (Julia Goldani Telles) will spend at least a portion of Season 3 dipping her pen in company ink.

Desperate Housewives alum Jonathan Cake is joining the Showtime drama in the recurring role of Whitney’s boss and love interest, TVLine has learned exclusively. Cake’s character, Furkat, is a Brooklyn-based photographer whose brashness is polarizing. (Whitney is, of course, the daughter of Maura Tierney’s Helen and Dominic West’s Noah.)

Additional Season 3 guest stars include Brendan Fraser and Jennifer Esposito.

From the fictional town of Dillon, Texas, to a whole new fictional country—that seems to be the latest trajectory for Zach Gilford, who’s joined the cast of USA’s upcoming original drama pilot Stanistan.

But Gilford, who’s best known for his role as Matt Saracen on the television show Friday Night Lights, is not alone in his relocation. Desperate Housewives’ Jonathan Cake also joins the Stanistan cast, which already features Dexter’s Jennifer Carpenter as Public Affairs Officer Marcie Post.

Zach Gilford and Jonathan Cake have been cast in the drama pilot, which follows the staff at the American compound in the fictional country of Stanistan, Usaid, where State Department workers, covert CIA officers and journalists strike a delicate balance of danger and levity. Carpenter plays public affairs officer Marcie Post. Gilford will play Phillip Guthrey, an Infrastructure Manager for Usaid. Phillip is Marcie's (Carpenter) closest friend in the country, and though he'd like for their friendship to become something more, his unrequited love is.

Real-life BFFs Emily Mortimer (Newsroom) and Dolly Wells (Bridget Jones’s Diary) write and star on Doll & Em (Wednesdays at 10 p.m.), HBO’s latest L.A. meta-comedy about a movie star (Mortimer) who hires her childhood pal (Wells) as an assistant. (Possible alternate title: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Ladies!) But once you clear the velvet rope, it’s apparent that Doll and Em is, at its heart, a portrait of female friendship rather than a Hollywood confidential.

The comedy — which is partly improvised, but never reaches laugh-out-loud levels of funny — debuts with back-to-back episodes, and good thing, considering the premiere is a bit anemic.

There's a star-studded approach to casting in Jez Butterworth's play about London gangs, Mojo. Harry Potter's Rupert Grint makes his stage debut after years of Ron Weasley, while Downton Abbey's Mr Bates (Brendan Coyle) adds to his years of fine theatrical endeavour. The top-notch cast also includes Ben Whishaw (Skyfall, Peter And Alice) and Daniel Mays (Mrs Biggs). Mojo, featuring rival gangs and grisly goings-on in 1950s Soho over the kidnap of a teenage pop star, was the first debut play to be performed on the Royal Court's main stage in 40 years since the kitchen-sink classic Look Back In Anger. It was a huge success, becoming a film in 1997, and Butterworth has since written the multi-award-winning Jerusalem. A surefire hit return.
