Strange and otherwise terrifying things tend to happen on Friday the 13th, at least according to superstition and a certain horror franchise featuring a machete-wielding maniac, but it was on Thursday the 13th of March, in 1997, that the residents of Phoenix, Arizona experienced a good deal of unusual activity. On that night, an unidentified flying object was spotted and filmed by thousands of people in both Phoenix and Sonora, Mexico, and to date, the strange v-shaped pattern of lights has never quite been explained – at least not in any sort of satisfying way.
Leave it to a horror movie to come along and offer up a possible explanation.

For Neighbors, Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse said that they got together with Zac Efron and bonded before the film, like a real fraternity. They got drunk and made up a secret, homoerotic handshake for the frat. “So, it’s basically there’s a little hand move, but then one person drops to their knees and mimes giving a blow job to the other person. The person on their knees takes it in the mouth and then spits it to any nearby brother.” We also will get naked Mintz-Plasse butt and fake giant penis, along with Dave Franco baring his butt during a sex scene. But what about Zac?

B. Scott forced to change for Bet Awards Red Carpet, support for marriage equality surges post-doma, John Waters asks key questions
The cast of Glee has undergone some major shakeups in the last week, but Jane Lynch thinks that’s to be expected. ” That’s the nature of portraying a realistic view of high school: Kids graduate. They move on. I like that we’re following some of the kids to New York where they’re trying to make it as actors and actresses. But the show will evolve, and when a show evolves that means you have to let some people go, and let some storylines go, so that you can pursue new ones.” But since when has Glee been about portraying a realistic view of high school?
In many ways, I find out director Roland Emmerich to be fascinating, from his testosterone fueled movies to wild pool parties.

The Ape Man Movie Poster
Movies from the “golden age” of black and white films (approximately the 1930’s through the 1950’s) almost invariably contain well-written dialogue and strikingly subtle humor, making them a favorite among many fans of cinema. The horror movies of this more subtle period in film history are therefore of a cerebral nature, primarily relying on the viewer’s imagination to generate the true sense of horror that modern movies generate through more visual means. It is these oft-ignored horror movies that will be the focus of a series of articles detailing the reasons why true fans of horror movies should rediscover these films.
With this 5th installment in the Forgotten B&W Horror series, we take a look at another movie starring one of the kings of B&W horror, Bela Lugosi.

Friendly monkeys in film do exist. Unfortunately, humanity receives a rude wake-up call this week in director Rupert Wyatt's "Rise of the Planet of the Ape," and the rebooted film franchise, based on Pierre Boulle's "Planet of the Apes" novel, features some highly intelligent, highly ticked off monkeys.
Humans have fought this battle before on the big screen, though. Many of the meanest movie monkeys had good reason to be irked, like explorers invading their homes, psycho magical witches giving them commands and being kidnapped. Here are our picks for the five least friendly monkeys among them.
5. The winged monkeys, "The Wizard of Oz" (1939)
They look happy and care-free, but these little blue slaves to the Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) rip apart Dorothy's (Judy Garland) friend The Scarecrow (Ray Bolger) and whisk her off to be imprisoned in a big, scary castle. They may dress in snappy red vests,...
