God made man in his own image, and then man defied His orders, so man was cast out from His garden—or so the story goes in the Bible. Directors Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon made a movie based on this, and it’s the 2023 supernatural horror Nefarious. Jordan Belfi plays psychiatrist Dr. James Martin, who goes into a prison to decide whether a criminal (Sean Patrick Flannery) is mentally fit to be executed, but realizes he’s gotten much more than he bargained for. Shot almost entirely inside one room, the movie raises questions about man’s choices and actions with references to heaven and hell, but it quickly starts reeking of propaganda and not so much horror. Here’s what happens in Nefarious.
Spoilers Ahead

Nefarious tells the tale of a convicted serial killer waiting on the day of his execution. On that day he has a last minute, court-ordered psychiatric evaluation. The doctor then needs to decide if this man is who he claims to be – a demon, Nefarious, who quite happily wants the execution to go ahead.
Much of the movie, possibly about 70% of it, is just the serial killer, played by Sean Patrick Flanery and the doctor (James Martin), played by Jordan Belfi, talking to each other across a table in an otherwise empty room. It’s a battle of wits and character, as the doctor believes he can’t be fooled into calling this man crazy, until he’s not...

"He got in your head, didn't he?" Believe Entertainment has unveiled an official trailer for Nefarious, a wonky psychological thriller opening in select theaters this spring. This is actually strangely another religious propaganda film made by the guys behind films like The Book of Daniel, God's Not Dead 1 & 2, and Do You Believe? - an important detail to point out. But it's still an interesting premise, as long as you can look past the ulterior motives. On the day of his scheduled execution, a convicted serial killer gets a psychiatric evaluation during which he claims he is a demon, then further claims that before their time is over, the psychiatrist will commit three murders of his own. Starring Sean Patrick Flanery, Jordan Belfi, James Healy Jr., Eric Hanson, and Stelio Savante. They're good about covering up the religious aspects, but this seems to be all about "you cannot say his name...

Few setups and storylines have been explored and exploited more in the horror genre than the team of paranormal explorers contacting the other side and being confronted with their skeptical beliefs being confirmed wrong. From “The Legend of Hell House” to “Grave Encounters” and its sequel, “Ghost Killers vs. Bloody Mary” to the celebrated South Korean effort “Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum“, to an entire franchise of TV shows based around “Ghost Hunters” performing this around the world, this concept is a huge part of the genre with entries being found around the globe. This Malaysian Barnstorm Entertainment-Brando Studios co-production, from director Brando Lee and starring a slew of recognizable American actors and actresses, arrives as a new entry in the style on October 7 from Outsider Pictures.

*full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by director Any Palmer. *there are spoilers here. Please see the film before reading this review. Director: Andy Palmer. Writer: Rachelle Dimaria. Cast: Rachelle Dimaria, Katrina Norman, Paul Soter and Jordan Belfi. Andy Palmer and Rachelle Dimaria's Badlands of Kain reminds this reviewer of an old lyric. In the Eagles song Hotel California: "[in this motel] you can checkout, but never leave." All of the roads in this indie mystery lead back to the small town of Kain. And, it is late in the film where it is revealed that Kain is actually a spiritual purgatory. Here, both evil murderers and bubbly twenty-somethings can end up. While the film's morality and message resist logic, Badlands of Kain will draw many viewers into its suspenseful narrative. Characters Shannon (Dimaria) and Kris (Katrina Norman) are off on a road trip. Kris wants to explore...

Wet Behind the Ears: Alaimo’s Suburban Malaise a Standard Procedure
We’ve come to expect a certain amount of functional dysfunction to be featured in independent films depicting the decomposition of nuclear American families all tuckered out by their dogged insistence on living out the illusion of a proscribed way of existence. You can count Jay Alaimo’s latest film, Chlorine, as an overly familiar example of hitting all the customary checkmarks, including a more pressing and dramatic back story used to tie its disparate characters together.
Issues of class and how we’re conditioned to always hunt for loopholes to score upgrades seems to be an overarching theme but between a handful of moments where Alaimo is trying too hard to score pathos or convey information, the film is a stagnant, emotional plateau, managing only to ingrain us with an apathetic attitude towards its characters.

Things are about to reach a level of stress very rarely seen on Castle. When there’s a murder, usually there are only a few suspicious characters involved in the case as potential perpetrators, but in the upcoming Jan. 21 episode, “Death Gone Crazy,” Castle and Beckett will find themselves having to weed through a list of suspects that borders on the ridiculous in just how numerous they are. How do you narrow down a suspect when your victim has made literally hundreds of people despise him? And just what kind of person do you have to be to bring on the wrath of that many ordinary citizens?
When you’re the playboy founder of an adult entertainment video series, you end up featuring a number of young girls using what they can to earn a living: in this case their bodies. Naturally, this might upset any number of close friends,...

The upcoming film from Leomark Studios stars Jordan Belfi (Surrogates), Stephen Lunsford (Beneath the Darkness) and Bo Foxworth (The Monster and the Peanut).
Homecoming trailer features some pretty bloody scenes so it should not be played by kids.

There are a few things that I am certain of. One of them is that sitting through that oral board exam has got to be seriously awful. Seriously. The Grey's Anatomy residents faced their proctors for three sessions of the test, all while facing issues of their own. So who passed and who failed?
Time to discuss "Let The Bad Times Roll."
First things first. The boards seem like the least fun part about becoming a doctor. I was nervous watching the residents answer their questions. All five of them were in pretty tough situations. Meredith was sick, Cristina was fighting with her proctor, Alex missed his first session, Jackson could hear his mother next door and April was freaking out.
According to the statistics, one in five fails. So who was the loser? April Kepner.
This doesn’t become as too much of a surprise. In fact, it was...

In this Thursday’s episode, Entourage‘s Jordan Belfi checks in as a cancer patient named Nick whose intimate past with Arizona stirs up trouble for the conflict-free couple — but not in the way you’re probably thinking.
“They’re childhood friends,” explains Belfi, who’s set to appear in two episodes. “They have this special bond going back to when they were kids – they were even fake married as kids. They were that close.”

As the eighth season winds down, two weeks from now, the May 3 episode of Grey's Anatomy will be called "Let The Bad Times Roll." Think that sets the tone for an uplifting, magical hour of television?
We have our doubts, as the Seattle Grace residents agonize over their oral boards, reliving every answer they gave during their exams ... and Catherine tells Richard that one of his residents has failed.
Who do you think came up short, and might it mean the end of a doctor's tenure at the hospital? Moreover, is it tied to an open-ended contract situation for one of the core cast members?
Meanwhile, Arizona's close childhood friend comes to Seattle Grace for medical help; the doctors work on a patient who is missing one third of his skull; and Julia asks Mark to start a family with her.

Cristina and Owen have been heading down a dark road for weeks on Grey's Anatomy, and according to new intel, the couple's issues will continue impair Dr. Yang during her upcoming medical boards.
However, the exams will also offer a chance for the vintage Cristina to reemerge.

"People will be quite happy with seeing Cristina back to form. I call that episode 'Hoisting Oneself on One's Own Petard.' It's really funny." Make of that what you will ... and celebrate on cue.
Speaking of the all-important medical boards, one of the original interns apparently will be suffering a stress-induced, spontaneous medical emergency while taking them. And it looks like that person is Mer.

Jordan Belfi cast in ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy
May is a big month for television as it’s the time of the year when many of the most popular TV shows build toward their season finales, and Grey’s Anatomy is no different. At this time, shows usually bring in an actor or two to have a short, but meaningful arc, and Grey’s is bringing in former Entourage actor Jordan Belfi to be their man. When he was on Entourage, he played the nemesis of Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven), agent Adam Davies.
