The V/H/S franchise took a twisted trip back to the 1980s with V/H/S/85 on Shudder this past Halloween season, and the Bd-produced horror movie comes to Blu-ray next month.

Written and directed by Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman, the film stars Sean Patrick Flanery as Nefarious, Jordan Belfi as Doctor James Martin, and the supporting cast includes Tom Ohmer, Stelio Savante, Cameron Arnett, Eric Hanson, James Healy Jr., and Robert Peters.

The synopsis reads as follows: “On the day of his scheduled execution, a convicted serial killer gets a psychiatric evaluation during which he claims he is a demon, and further claims that before their time is over, the psychiatrist will commit three murders of his own.”

In this week’s episode of The Discourse, host Mike DeAngelo pops in a tape to discuss “V/H/S/85” with director Scott Derrickson. The sixth installment of the beloved horror anthology series follows five sinister found footage tales that delve into the grim underbelly of 1980s America. The film stars James Ransone, Freddie Rodriguez, Jordan Belfi, Dashiell Derrickson, and more.

God made man in his own image, and then man defied His orders, so man was cast out from His garden—or so the story goes in the Bible. Directors Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon made a movie based on this, and it’s the 2023 supernatural horror Nefarious. Jordan Belfi plays psychiatrist Dr. James Martin, who goes into a prison to decide whether a criminal (Sean Patrick Flannery) is mentally fit to be executed, but realizes he’s gotten much more than he bargained for. Shot almost entirely inside one room, the movie raises questions about man’s choices and actions with references to heaven and hell, but it quickly starts reeking of propaganda and not so much horror. Jaime Murray is en route to Gotham City to do what she does best: stir up trouble. The actress, last seen romancing one of The CW’s Originals, has landed a crucial role in the final season of Fox’s Gotham, our sister site Deadline reports.

We’ve come to expect a certain amount of functional dysfunction to be featured in independent films depicting the decomposition of nuclear American families all tuckered out by their dogged insistence on living out the illusion of a proscribed way of existence. You can count Jay Alaimo’s latest film, Chlorine, as an overly familiar example of hitting all the customary checkmarks, including a more pressing and dramatic back story used to tie its disparate characters together.

Sean Faris, the actor best known for his roles in Never Back Down and Yours, Mine and Ours, is part of the all-star cast of Pawn, a story about a robbery gone wrong in a small-town diner. Faris plays Nick, a young man just released from prison who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time as the robbery unfolds.

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Faris about the film. We talked about what drew him to the role, the experience of working with such a phenomenal cast, and much more.

Here’s a first look at the new psychological thriller, called Homecoming, from director Todd Kniss (33 Griffin Lane) who also wrote the screenplay.

The upcoming film from Leomark Studios stars Jordan Belfi (Surrogates), Stephen Lunsford (Beneath the Darkness) and Bo Foxworth (The Monster and the Peanut).

Homecoming trailer features some pretty bloody scenes so it should not be played by kids.

There are a few things that I am certain of. One of them is that sitting through that oral board exam has got to be seriously awful. Seriously. The Grey's Anatomy residents faced their proctors for three sessions of the test, all while facing issues of their own. So who passed and who failed?

In this Thursday’s episode, Entourage‘s Jordan Belfi checks in as a cancer patient named Nick whose intimate past with Arizona stirs up trouble for the conflict-free couple — but not in the way you’re probably thinking.

“They’re childhood friends,” explains Belfi, who’s set to appear in two episodes. “They have this special bond going back to when they were kids – they were even fake married as kids. They were that close.”

Jordan Belfi cast in ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy

May is a big month for television as it’s the time of the year when many of the most popular TV shows build toward their season finales, and Grey’s Anatomy is no different. At this time, shows usually bring in an actor or two to have a short, but meaningful arc, and Grey’s is bringing in former Entourage actor Jordan Belfi to be their man. When he was on Entourage, he played the nemesis of Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven), agent Adam Davies.

According to TVLine, Belfi will have a two-episode arc during May sweeps, in which he will be playing a patient named Ryan. He’s described as being funny, self-deprecating and adventurous. While the gals are having a much-deserved night of fun with wine and movies, things are still tense at home between Cristina and Owen as she pushes her hubby to confess the details of his affair.

Jordan Belfi of Entourage fame is checking into Grey’s Anatomy for a two-episode May sweeps arc, according to TV Line. He will play a patient named Ryan, described as funny, self-deprecating and adventurous.

No word yet on which doctor(s) will be assigned to the character.

Belfi's Grey’s Anatomy stint is scheduled to air on May 3 and 10.

In other random, funny news, the 33-year-old actor will also pop up on another hit show that same week, appearing on the May 7 episode of Bones as a big-screen version of David Boreanaz' Booth.
