Kishkindha Kandam faced tough competition when it was released alongside films like Arm, which turned out to be a massive hit, and Kondal, which, despite its pre-release hype, ended up being a theatrical flop. Unlike those films, Kishkindha Kandam had little buzz before its release. It premiered during the Onam season, a major festival in Kerala, its primary market. Despite these challenges, the film surprisingly became a sleeper hit. Now, it’s set to make its debut on Ott.

Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan, the film features a story, screenplay, and dialogues written by Bahul Ramesh. The cast includes Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, Vijayaraghavan, Jagadish, Ashokan, Nishan, Gibin Gopinath, and Kottayam Ramesh. Music is composed by Mujeeb Majeed, with editing handled by Sooraj E.S. Cinematography and Bahul Ramesh, while Sajeesh Thamarassery manages the art direction.

The Malayalam box office saw an astounding success in the form of the thriller flick Kishkindha Kaandam. The Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali starrer received a thumbs-up from the critics and masses alike and witnessed a stellar run at the box office. The movie now closes its theatrical run with a blockbuster verdict and a worldwide collection above 75 crore milestone.

As it closed its theatrical run, the Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali starrer’s India net collections reached 41.55 crore. At the same time, the gross collection came to 49.02 crore. The movie earned around 27.50 crore from its overseas collection. The worldwide collection results in 76.52 crore. It has been a tremendously successful run for the movie. Mounted at a limited budget of 7 crore, its box office success has been one for the history books.

Disney+ Hotstar is gearing up to launch a new Malayalam web series titled Perilloor Premier League, starring Nikhila Vimal, Aju Varghese and Sunny Wayne in the lead roles. The web series is a comedy-drama revolving around a cricket tournament in a village called Perilloor.

The web series is directed by debutant Praveen Chandran, who has previously worked as the chief associate director of Kurup and Luca. The script is written by Deepu Pradeep, who is known for his films Kunjiramayanam and Padmini. The web series also features Vijayaraghavan, Ashokan, Sarath Sabha and Sajin Cherukayil in supporting roles.

The web series is produced by Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi under the banner of E4 Entertainment. The cinematography is handled by Anoop V Shylaja and Ameel, while the music is composed by Mujeeb Majeed.

The trailer of ‘Ntikkakkakkoru Premondarnn’ starring Bhavana and Sharafudheen was unveiled on Friday. The film marks Bhavana’s return to Mayalam cinema after five years. Bhavana’s last Malayalam release was ‘Adam Joan’ in 2017. Since the assault incident that took place in 2017, she had decided to stay away from Malayalam cinema, though she acted in a few Kannada films. In March 2022, the actor had opened up on her journey from being a victim to becoming a survivor.

The ‘Ntikkakkakkoru Premondarnn’ trailer was launched at a ceremony in Kozhikode on Friday by the cast and crew of the film.

Written, edited and directed by debutant Adhil Maimoonath Asharaf, the film also stars Ashokan, Anarkkali Nasar and Shebin Benson. The film has dialogues and additional screenplay from Vivek Bharathan.

Thiruvanathapuram, Dec 22: Suresh Achu, who has carved a niche for himself in the advertising world, is set to weild the megaphone for Malayalam movie "Pottaas Bomb".

The film revolves around three girls, who elope from a juvenile home in Kerala. Police tracks them down and catch them in Tamil Nadu. The story chronicles their return journey from Tamil Nadu to Kerala.

It is produced by Dr.Sreejith and Asokan under the banner People Cinema. The film features debutants Anu Sithara, Chinju Mohan, Vishnu, Achu and Arun Kumar in prominent roles.
