Karl-Ernst Sasse was born on 5 December 1923 in Bremen, Germany. He was a composer and actor, known for The Last Laugh (1924), Destiny (1921) and Das Licht auf dem Galgen (1976). He was married to Inge Burg. He died on 12 November 2006 in Potsdam-Babelsberg, Brandenburg, Germany.

Composed the score for over 500 films. However his very first work, the
score for an East German TV film &quot;Der Taxifahrer&quot; never reached the
public as the film was sacked by the East German authorities.
