When the opening scene ended with a pretty cool and gory death, in what was a traditional but fun slasher film build-up, my hopes were kind of high. It feels like we have had very few new slasher movie villains to get excited about. Of course, Michael Myers, Chucky, Ghostface and more are still going strong but other than Art the Clown in the Terrifier franchise, no one seems to have lasted for more than one movie in more recent times. So when Randy Couture is standing tall as Hank, giant axe in hand, things were looking up. But the movie doesn’t quite pan out the way I was expecting.

The 57-year-old has been associated with WWE for most of his career. Right from the start, he was projected as an unbeatable force and a dominant force inside the ring. His macho persona and no-nonsense attitude earned him millions of fans throughout the globe, and over the years, the same flavor was maintained for his character. Yes, there have been instances where fans witnessed ring rust, but one can’t deny that the superstar is still a big draw.

Initiating our descent into yuletide madness, To All a Goodnight serves as an early harbinger of the Santa slasher subgenre. This fright fest guarantees more than just visions of sugarplums dancing in your head with a killer Santa laying siege to an unsuspecting sorority.

Looney Tunes is not leaving Max after all. The streamer had released a list that included the classic cartoons leaving the platform in December.

Max has since revised their “What’s New on Max This December” press release.

“Looney Tunes was included in error as a title leaving the platform,” read the statement clarifying the status of the classic shorts. “This is not the case and the show will continue streaming on Max.”

An outcry from fans of the show followed on social media after believing Bugs Bunny and his friends would not live on the streaming platform anymore.

The error comes a couple weeks after Wbd announced it would be scrapping the already-completed Coyote Vs. Acme for a tax writeoff. The David Zaslav-run company reconsidered the decision after fan backlash and set up screenings for streamers who might want to buy it.

Pros Vs Joes, the Noughties physical gameshow is being rebooted in the U.S. and brought to Europe for the first time, after Belgian formats distributor Glow Media took on the format.

Glow plans to showcase the show at Mipcom next month, with original series creator My Entertainment also involved in the relaunch.

Originally broadcast on Viacom owned Spike (now Paramount Network), Pros Vs Joes aired for five seasons between 2006-2010 produced Michael Yudin’s My Enterainment. It pitted ordinary ‘Joes’ with love and skill for multiple sports again famous sport stars. The most successful Joe would be crowned the winner.

Athletes who featured included Dennis Rodman, Michael Irvin, Darryl Strawberry, Roy Jones Jr, Randy Couture and Bill Goldberg, with more 150+ Hall of Famers appearing in total.

Nine years after it disappeared from cable TV channel lineups, Speedvision is preparing to rev up its engines again.

The cable channel — which catered to automotive enthusiasts and racing fans from its launch in 1995 until Fox shut it down in 2013 — is being revived as a free ad-supported streaming network (the acronym being, appropriately, a Fast platform), with some high-profile backing.

Among the backers of the new Speedvision are Robert Scanlon, a co-founder of the original cable channel who most recently oversaw the Velocity and Motor Trend businesses for Discovery Inc.; Joe Abbruzzese, who was previously the president of advertising sales for Discovery; wrestling superstar Bill Goldberg; and automotive and racing magnate Rick Hendrick.

Scanlon will serve as the company’s president, while Abbruzzese will advise on ad sales and sponsorships. Goldberg is expected to appear as talent in some of the network’s programming.

Mark Calloway’s career as the Undertaker has mostly been a three-part saga. For the first third, he was more than a little limited in the ring, but had an aura, gimmick, and writing that made him the star of a sideshow act. Bray Wyatt had been one of the hottest characters in WWE. At the very least, he was one of the most interesting and over characters on WWE television.

On Thursday in Saudi Arabia at WWE Super Showdown, Wyatt lost the WWE Universal Championship in less than three minutes to Goldberg. Yes, that Goldberg. The 53-year-old, gray-bearded former world champion who was mocked as "Old-Berg" on social media by most of the snarky wrestling crowd.

Wyatt losing the title isn't so much the issue. He's an attraction, and quite frankly he's better off without the regularity that the top title on SmackDown brings. The issue is the way Wyatt lost the match, and who he lost the match to. Goldberg, who clearly can't wrestle a match of any length at this point in his career, taking down Wyatt in less than three minutes...

Yowie wowie: Goldberg has defeated “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at “Super ShowDown” Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, becoming the new WWE Universal Champion in the process. Guess how well that creative decision went over with fans?

Now that Royal Rumble has whittled down the competition, the road begins to wrestling’s biggest annual event, WWE WrestleMania 36. The Granddaddy of Them All is on its way and this time there’s a big pirate theme to it because it takes place in Florida. How much of an emphasis Kairi Sane gets for having a pirate gimmick remains to be seen, but get ready to see a million hours of WWE action as we get a Hall of Fame ceremony, an Nxt TakeOver, an incredibly lengthy PPV, and the next night’s Raw.

The Undertaker is 54-years-old. Bill Goldberg is 52. So naturally, the two young wrestlers main-evented “WWE Super Showdown” in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

You can probably see where this is going. The Jeddah event’s final match was an absolute disaster filled with botched moves — some of which could have caused serious injury to the two legends.

But don’t take our word for how bad the highly touted first-time-ever bout was — the WWE Universe on Twitter is already calling Goldberg-Undertaker “the worst match of the year,” among other very un-superlative superlatives.

Well, WrestleMania is almost here! Unfortunately, before we can see what’s what that card is going to mostly look like, we have to drive through WWE Fastlane 2019. Fastlane started back in 2015 as the last major stop before WrestleMania with a main event tricking you into thinking that Roman Reigns might not main event WrestleMania 31. That was followed with a Fastlane main event that tricked you into thinking that Roman Reigns might not main event WrestleMania 32. The one that followed had Bill Goldberg beat Kevin Owens in a nonsense match meant to move the Universal Championship into a different feud. Then there was last year’s event which...man, I just looked at the results and it’s the most forgettable show in recent memory. Wow.

Own has released the premiere date and key art for its new romantic drama “Love Is __” The series debuts on June 19 at 10 p.m. Et/Pt and was inspired by the real-life relationship of creators and executive producers Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil. The love story will take place mostly in 1990’s Los Angeles and show the couple following their dreams with perspective from their present-day selves.

4.12 Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash

'Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash' didn't have to be any good. I was a little worried when I saw the preview, and wondered how they were going to justify a 'filler' episode right when the stakes need to start getting higher for the show as we pass the halfway point.

Throughout the course of its four seasons, The Flash has had some memorable actors stop by to play guest villains. Of course, very few are capable of eclipsing Mark Hamill’s Trickster, especially when you consider the geek cred that guy has racked up over the decades having played icons like Luke Skywalker and the Joker.

To my amazement, Derek Mears’ involvement with the series has flown under the radar, something I find to be rather perplexing. If his name sounds familiar to you, it should, because his long resume is quite impressive. Having played Jason Voorhees in 2009’s Friday the 13th remake and one of the titular creatures in 2010’s Predators, it stands to reason that his inclusion should turn more than a few heads.

Team Flash are about to take a page out of their good pal Ray Palmer/The Atom’s book in the next episode of The Flash when they’re shrunk by the metahuman-of-the-week.

Following on from the previous installment, Barry Allen has asked his friends to try and clear the name of his new pal Big Sir/Dave (Bill Goldberg). As they investigate, Cisco, Ralph and Joe come across Sylbert Rundin (Derek Mars), a supervillain known as Dwarfstar in the comics, who leaves them at a fraction of their size. Obviously, we’ll have to wait for the episode itself to see this effect in action, but the photo showing Joe looking at the ground seems to depict the moment they’re shrunk.

4.11 The Elongated Knight Rises

Disclaimer: my local CW affiliate was having some ridiculous audio issues tonight, where chunks of the episode sounded like they were being broadcast from a very small and very busted Am radio in 1973. If I missed any details, this is why.

Anyway...

I...really don't know what to make of The Elongated Knight Rises. I wasn't a fan of The Trial Of The Flash and as long as Barry remains in prison, I feel like everything is a little bit tainted by the laziness of that particular episode. But this week was certainly, um, different.

I've run hot and cold on Hartley Sawyer's Ralph Dibny.

He’s been rocking a pretty ugly light blue spandex suit for most of the season so far, but it’s finally time for Ralph Dibny to get a proper superhero outfit in next week’s episode of The Flash.

DC comics fans will know that Ralph typically wears a purple, black and white skin-tight outfit on the page and, while that look hasn’t been recreated on screen, Dibny’s new duds – seen in the gallery below – evoke the character’s classic look as best as they can while still fitting in with the overall Arrowverse aesthetic. For instance, the purple has been switched for a more muted maroon colour scheme and the addition of the goggles are a nice touch, as a way for Ralph to keep his identity a secret.

“Big Mouth” creators Nick Kroll (“Kroll Show,” “The League”) and Andrew Goldberg (“Family Guy”) have known each other since the first grade, and became best friends in middle school — right when the hormone monster began its attack.
