Peruvian-Irish-American Donna Bonilla Wheeler is a screenwriter and director of film, and a director of theatre. She's known for her indie mockumentary Death of a Saleswoman which sold at Cannes, Berlinale, and AFM markets, and streams on U.S. and international platforms.
Donna was one of 12 Finalists selected for the 2020 MIPTV/Cannes market with the one hour scripted political adventure series, Clash. She has been a yearly invited Producer to Watch at MIPTV since 2020.
She earned her MFA in film writing and directing from FSU, graduating Summa Cum Laude while serving as President of her class. At AFI, she completed postgraduate studies in directing. Her feature script, The Girl Next Door was a Nicholl Semifinalist and the subject of a bidding war at Cannes.
