Mandy Patinkin, Janet McTeer and Danny Huston are prepping one historical whodunit. The three actors have been cast in a new murder mystery titled The Artist, which will make its debut on the ad-supported streamer The Network, TVLine has confirmed.

The seven-episode limited series set in the Gilded Age follows “an ensemble of the era’s celebrities including Thomas Edison, Edgar Degas and Evelyn Nesbit” as they meet at the home of “an eccentric and failing tycoon,” reads the logline. But by night’s end, the tycoon is found dead, sparking a murder mystery that will keep all of the guests on their toes.

Former coach Jennifer Hudson returns for first time since Season 15, while Sting marks his debut on NBC’s reality TV show. Hudson joins Team Michael Bublé and Team Reba McEntire, while Sting joins Team Snoop Dogg and Team Gwen Stefani to mentor the remaining artists for the Season 26 Knockouts round, which begins airing Monday, November 11.

Sting is a 17-time Grammy Award winner including for hits like “Brand New Day,” “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You,” “Every Breath You Take,” and “Don’t Stand So Close To Me.” Hudson is an Egot recipient, winning competitive awards at the Daytime Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and Tonys.

Conceived by Barbara Pyle and media mogul Ted Turner, Captain Planet was an ecological hero way ahead of his time. The animated series ran for years with some nifty design work by Neal Adams and his Continuity Associates. Each episode featured an adventure and a lesson (of course). Now, Warner Home Entertainment has released Captain Planet the Complete Franchise, with 41 hours and 31 minutes of environmental goodness. For silly legal reasons, the show has two titles evenly split among its six seasons: Captain Planet and the Planeteers (animated by Dic) and The New Adventures of Captain Planet (animated by Hanna-Barbera) for the final three seasons.
