One Chicago will treat fans to a mini-crossover when the shows return from a short break at NBC.
Chicago Med has been ramping up the storyline with Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson), and the death threats will lead to a Chicago P.D. star coming to her aid.
First, we saw Goodwin receive a death threat, and then it seemed that someone had broken a family picture frame in her office. Later, it was revealed that an Hvac man had done that bit on accident.
During the October 23 episode, Goodwin was convinced that someone was in her house, but a kid at her door gave her an excuse to exit.
The police checked out her house while she went to work, but found nothing disturbed. They also failed to find evidence anyone had been upstairs.
When the episode ended, Goodwin looked at footage from a doorbell camera at her neighbor’s house.

The October 2 episode of Chicago Med featured a pregnant patient who must have looked familiar to daytime fans. Days of Our Lives viewers who are also fans of the Chicago One franchise probably spotted Marci Miller. The actress played a character with physical and mental health issues.
Ex-Daytime Star on Primetime
Marci Miller (ex-Abigail Dimera) must have channeled her Days character for this primetime role. It all started when emergency room doctors at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center tended to her injuries after she fell down the stairs.
However, as Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) attempted to treat her, it was apparent that the pregnant woman had more issues that were not exactly physical. As a result, Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt), the hospital’s resident psychiatrist, had to be called in to assess her.

Chicago Med returns for its tenth season with familiar faces both in front of and behind the camera. The medical drama, set in the emergency department of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, remains a core player in NBC’s prestigious “One Chicago” universe. Veteran actress S. And characters like Dean Archer, Hannah Asher, and Daniel Charles provide a sense of stability for frequent viewers.

Epatha Merkerson — but also bringing in a new showrunner, Allen MacDonald, who is charged with giving the veteran Dick Wolf series a new jolt of energy that longtime viewers may have to adjust to.
With MacDonald at the helm of Chicago Med, the new season introduces new characters, while saying goodbye to others. Ahead of the season 10 premiere, The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Chicago Med’s new boss to talk about some of the show’s new arcs, those who are leaving, the introduction of two major new characters and the showrunner’s...

‘Chicago Med’: Luke Mitchell Teases ‘Unhinged’ Ripley, ‘Rocky’ Relationship With Hannah in Season 10
What exactly does Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) know about the attack on Pawel (Kristof Konrad)—his former patient who sued him blamed him when he was brought into the Ed—that ended last season of Chicago Med? Then there’s also how this will affect his relationship with Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt), given their complicated history from when Ripley was a kid. Below, Mitchell previews how Ripley’s doing at the beginning of Season 10, what’s ahead for him and Hannah, the new doctors coming in, and more. Let’s go back to that finale cliffhanger and...

Welcome to Emmy Experts Typing, a weekly column in which Gold Derby editors and Experts Joyce Eng and Christopher Rosen discuss the Emmy race — via Slack, of course. This week, we discuss the Creative Arts Emmys before this weekend’s dual ceremonies.
Christopher Rosen: Hello, Joyce! We’re back to get creative for the last time this year. The 2024 Emmy Awards get started this weekend with the two-night Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies. We made our “final” picks earlier this week and were in lockstep on a lot of picks, but not in the guest acting categories. Maybe for your sake, that’s for the best. Last year, I wiped out there with one out of four correct (and should Nick Offerman even count when he was the lockiest of locks?). This year I feel much better about those predictions, even if I zagged from the consensus in a couple of...

Demi Moore is getting her due thanks to Metrograph.
The “Substance” actress and Hollywood icon is being honored by Metrograph with a five-film series of Moore’s most beloved features, as curated by the theater. Titled “We Want Moore,” the mini festival begins September 13.
“The rapturous reception of Demi Moore’s performance in Coralie Fargeat’s ‘The Substance’ at this year’s Cannes Film Festival seems to have reminded many people that the New Mexico-born actress is a bona fide movie star — not just in terms of box office receipts and magazine cover shoots, but in her seemingly effortless ability to command the screen every time she walks into frame,” the Metrograph press statement reads. “In ‘We Want Moore,’ we’ve brought together some other timely reminders.”
Selected films screening in 35mm include Moore’s iconic turns in “Ghost,” “Indecent Proposal,” and “Striptease,” which Moore recently told Variety was one of her most under-appreciated performances.

Jeremy Allen White is discussing when The Bear Season 4 will begin filming.
In a new interview, White was asked when he was expected to start filming the new season of the FX comedy-drama, and he clarified.
“I’m not sure exactly when. I know it’s not going to be until next year. I imagine sometime early next year, a similar start date to the last couple of years: February/March time,” White told Esquire UK.
The Bear Season 3 consisted of ten episodes, all dropping on Hulu on June 24.
White reprised his Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto role for the third season, accompanied by Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The series also starred Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson, with Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon in recurring roles.
During the premiere of the series’ third season, White said that his character would continue to make the same mistakes.

“The Bear” stars Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are runaway favorites to win their second straight Best Comedy Actor and Best Comedy Supporting Actor Emmys, respectively, next month. In isolation, that’s not really that notable after “The Bear’s” dominance the past year, but if they pull off the double again, they’d continue a recent trend: It’d be the fifth consecutive year and sixth time in the last seven years that the male comedy acting categories go to the same show.
In 2018, “Barry” swept the categories for Bill Hader and Henry Winkler, 14 years after “Frasier” was the last to achieve it with Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce. The following year, Hader defended his crown, but Winkler lost the supporting trophy to “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s” Tony Shalhoub.

What Do We Know About season 4 of The Bear? More thank you may think. The FX on Hulu series debuted in 2022 and instantly became one of the most acclaimed television shows. With the third season dropping earlier this year, we have many questions and confidence that we know a lot of what is to come. So, let’s jump in and discuss what we know about the fourth season of The Bear.
Season Four will pick up from the Season Three cliffhanger finale.
After two seasons building towards the opening of the titular restaurant, the third season slowed things down to focus on the main characters dealing with the anxiety of first reviews for their establishment. Sydney (Ayo Edibiri) has an intriguing offer to leave the restaurant and branch out. Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) has yet to reply to his ex-wife’s wedding invitation. Broad City’s Ilana Glazer and stand-up Michelle Buteau play two best friends going through pregnancy in this raunchy comedy from actor-turned-director Pamela Adlon. Crackling with comic chemistry, it’s frequently very funny and pulls off what is essentially a clever riff on the usual rom-com dynamic, but it oddly shies away from its potentially emotional moments, preferring to undercut them with laughs instead.
The film is set in present-day New York, where two best friends – single yoga instructor Eden (Glazer) and married-with-a-kid dentist Dawn (Buteau) – still get together regularly, despite now living in different boroughs that are several subway trains apart. As the film begins, they’re indulging in their annual Thanksgiving ritual of attending a movie together, but that’s cut short when heavily...

Dr. Hannah Asher has had one of the more fascinating arcs over the course of Chicago Med. The character fell victim to a drug addiction earlier in the show, and was seemingly written off for good before returning in season 7.
Dr. Asher has really served as an anchor at Gaffney Medical Center, while so many of the characters around have either suffered personal tragedies and/or decided to leave for a fresh start elsewhere. It is hard to imagine the show without her, which is really saying something given how brief her initial stint was.

The new additions follow the exit of series regular Dominic Rains, who has played emergency room surgeon Dr. Crockett Marcel since Season 5. It’s unclear whether Rains will return for a guest star role in the upcoming season.

One Chicago knows how to build up hype. There's a special synergy that comes into play when the franchise is gearing up for a return, and brings together all three shows in a promo. Getting a chance to see how Chicago Med, Chicago Pd, and Chicago Fire work together is a reminder just how potent the franchise is as a whole. It's greater than the sum of its (already great) parts.
And in case anyone forgot, which we seriously doubt, the promo for the upcoming fall season is one hell of a reminder. NBC dropped the first promo for the 2024 fall season on social media, and while it doesn't give much away in terms of plot, it does give fans a good feel for the energy of the upcoming seasons.

It was the end of an era at Chicago Fire when Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) was promoted to Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department at the end of season 12. The character has appeared on the show since its first season in 2012.
With Boden gone, who will take his place? For now, the battalion chief role will be filled by Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney).
Also joining Chicago Fire in season 13 is Ka Dee Strickland. She’ll play Monica Pascal, the new chief’s estranged wife

Given that pregnancy is quite literally a matter of life and death, it’s striking how few films address it. Blame the ickiness perhaps, or more likely the fact that it’s seen as a women’s issue, but Hollywood considers something that 40 per cent-odd of the population experiences and 100 per cent of the population owes their lives to a little bit less important than zombies. So one would like to cheer this effort from actor/comedian-turned-director Pamela Adlon, except that it’s inconsistent in its tone and fatally lacking in humour.
