After a phenomenal debut co-directing "John Wick" and then solo directing "Atomic Blonde," David Leitch has had an interesting (if somewhat uneven) career. His 2022 offering "Bullet Train" was, as our own review described it, "fast and zippy, fittingly only slowing down to a turgid pace when the train comes to a stop." The action-comedy stars Brad Pitt as Ladybug, a professional assassin assigned to retrieve a briefcase from a bullet train, only to find himself in a never-ending fight against other killers who've boarded the same train, each with a different objective.
What was originally meant to be a hard-r, dark action film, one that may have been closer to Leitch's work on "John Wick," turned into a comedy during production, a change that star Aaron Taylor-Johnson credits his co-star Brian Tyree Henry and Leitch with. Indeed, Pitt's performance in the final film has more in common with the...

Kwon, the newest member of Cobra Kai, accidentally stabs himself at the Sekai Takai tournament during an all-out brawl between the dojos. The emotional moment is punched up by the knife he stabs himself with Sensei Kreese’s eunjangdo knife that he was going to use on Terry Silver.

While everyone’s enjoying the new Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Marvel Studios is ready to unleash hordes of infected and bitey superheroes onto Disney+ with Marvel Zombies. The animated mayhem shambles onto the streaming platform in October 2025, but Marvel wants to spill the beans about the anticipated project’s voice cast.
Bryan Andrews directs Marvel Zombies from a teleplay written by Zeb Wells, based on a story by Andrews and Wells. While there’s no official plot synopsis, the title gives us all we need, more or less. I’ll bet every long box in my comic book collection that a Marvel hero gets infected by a nasty virus, becomes zombified, and then passes the disease on to others. I’m sure there are more twists and turns, but zombie stories are usually a by-the-numbers affair.

Hollywood is brimming with skillful actors who perform their own stunts, but not a lot of major A-listers are well-trained and actual fighters. We know the likes of Tom Cruise, who delivers death-defying choreography in his movies, and we know Sylvester Stallone, who has been an iconic action star since the ‘70s.

Jaden Smith performed on stage, showcasing his journey from actor to music artist (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Jaden Smith’s rise to fame came fast. At just 8, he starred alongside Will in The Pursuit of Happyness, kicking off his Hollywood career. By 2008, he was solidifying his star power in The Day the Earth Stood Still, and by 2010, he was front and center in The Karate Kid with Jackie Chan. His role in After Earth in 2013 was another highlight, but then, Jaden pulled back—he was ready to shift focus to music.
By 2014, after The Good Lord Bird, Jaden hit pause on acting to dive into his true passion: music. He dropped his debut mixtape, The Cool Tape, following his early collaboration with Justin Bieber on Never Say Never. It wasn’t just a career move—it was Jaden finding his voice and stepping out of his parents’ shadow to make his mark as a musician.

Jaden Smith doesn’t mind dropping his last name? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Jaden Smith and Will Smith are probably Hollywood’s most excellent father-son duos. Although the two had their fair share of conflicts, their relationship has always felt vibrant. Jaden’s debut on-screen with Will in The Pursuit of Happyness showcased their special bond. Over the years, the two have worked on other creative projects, shared laughs, and sometimes even fashion statements.
While Will is known for being a supportive dad, Jaden isn’t afraid to do his own thing. As Jaden craves his own space in music and film, his presence in the industry is no less impressive. Despite growing up as Will’s son, he has always been under the spotlight, but there was a time when he took steps to make his own identity.

The age-old practice of beauty and wellness has prevailed since the dawn of the Greek and Roman empires. Today, Hollywood can put even Helen of Troy to shame over its obsession with Botox and plastic surgery. Meanwhile, the martial arts legend Jet Li leaves beauty in the eyes of the beholder and rejects the concept of going under the knife.

When it comes to action flicks, Jet Li doesn’t pull punches—literally or figuratively. The martial arts legend has one clear reason why Hollywood keeps trading in the real, gritty moves for flashy CGI: not all actors can actually fight. According to Li, authentic martial arts on screen require an actor who can handle real, complex choreography.

But in a time when special effects can conjure up almost anything, who needs a training montage? CGI might be a shortcut, but it’s missing the spark that only true martial artists bring to the screen.

Much like big American superhero comic books, there are many manga and anime that are intimidating for newcomers simply because of how long they are. Titles can be as relatively short as the 141-episode-long "Hunter x Hunter" or as long as "One Piece," which is well over 1,100 (!) episodes. What's more, unlike, say, the Spider-Man comics, you can't simply pick and choose the story arc that appeals to you and skip the rest when it comes to the likes of "One Piece" or Naruto." It'd be like watching only season 3 or 5 of "Game of Thrones" or "Lost," robbing you of important context and serialization.
And yet, that doesn't stop anime fans from recommending newcomers outright skip big chunks of the source material, whether that means ignoring the many filler episodes and arcs of "Naruto" or bypassing the entirety of the original "Dragon Ball" and starting with "Dragon Ball Z." However, that...

In a career that has spanned seven decades, Hong Kong action movie legend Sammo Hung has seen a lot, and moreover, his body has been through a lot. So it wasn’t a surprise to see the 72-year-old use a cane as he took the stage for a masterclass session at the Tokyo International Film Festival. But as he captivated an appreciative audience, the confidence and humor that have seen Hung through his illustrious career in martial arts movies shone bright.
Born into a showbiz family, Hung’s career began as a child actor while at the China Drama Academy, a Peking Opera school in Hong Kong. He made his film debut in the early 1960s, aged nine. A slightly grainy, black and white clip of the film showed a fresh-faced boy Hung, to coos from his assembled admirers. “Training at the school was very severe. We learned all the fundamental movements.

Starring Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, The Karate Kid (1984) is where it all started. As the first installment in the franchise, the film acted as the first step in a domino effect, effectively changing cinema with its release. Not only did it result in a few more films and a couple of television shows, but it also helped in popularizing karate in the United States.

Dragon Ball Daima Pays Hearty Tribute to George Lucas’ Star Wars as Series Transcends to Demon Realm
The 3rd episode of Dragon Ball Daima dives right into the Demon Realm, where fans witness Goku, Supreme Kai, and Glorio go through multiple portals that literally shake them to their very cores in order to reach the 3rd world of the Demon Realm. Sure, the second half of the episode felt a bit like Dragon Ball Gt but Daima promises more lore drops with a lot more characters involved.

Additionally, Daima is rumored to end within 20 episodes so it shouldn’t be draggy as much. Dragon Ball fans haven’t seen the series explore a place this deep since planet Namek and drop revelations this big in early episodes since the Saiyan Saga. Glorio’s home world looks like a scene straight out of Star Wars, prompting fans to suspect whether Dragon Ball took a page from it once again.

When thinking of Jackie Chan in a movie, epic fight scenes are usually expected. But in the 2010 film The Karate Kid, that wasn’t really the case. His character was mainly the protagonist’s trainer and mentor, so people didn’t get to see him in classic fighting form. It was a bit of a letdown for fans hoping for those signature moves.
Still from The Karate Kid (Credits: Columbia Pictures)
But it looks like that’s not how it was supposed to be. Chan actually filmed a fight scene that was over three minutes long, but it ended up getting cut from the movie. Why? It’s not really clear. Still, for a lot of people, it seems pretty obvious why it happened, especially given all the moral lessons the story aims to deliver.

Simu Liu has received a massive wave of support following his stint as the guest venture capitalist on this year’s Dragons’ Den following his stance on Bobba. Given how dear boba or bubble tea is to Liu’s heritage, the actor called out Sebastien Fiset and Jess Frenette’s business venture over its cultural appropriation.

But despite refusing to join forces with Bobba, it seems, the actor is indeed jumping on the boba tea landscape, as he has shown interest in investing in another bubble tea start-up.

The Og Karate Kid Ralph Macchio joins forces with the reboot version’s Mr. Han, Jackie Chan, in the new film Karate Kid: Legends. The production of the film began in April 2024 under the banner of Sony Pictures. Macchio is apparently finding it hard to keep up with Chan, who still shows immense dedication at the age of 70. He conveyed the same to one of his co-stars on Cobra Kai.

Over the years, Jaden Smith has become known for his eclectic style and philosophical musings, iconic music, and even his acting chops. Although the 26-year-old has lived his entire life in the public eye, he has kept a lot of things private, like his love for his friends.
Most recently, the middle child of the Smith family has once again grabbed headlines with a curious, and somewhat cryptic, declaration. The 26-year-old revealed that when he finds a friend he truly connects with, he feels an urge to build things for them.

This statement, though puzzling to some, has proved to be a testament to Smith’s unique way of expressing emotions and connections. After all, what better way to show someone you love them than making them something with your bare hands?

Production on the sixth and final season of the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai, a continuation of the Karate Kid film franchise, was delayed several months due to the writers and actors strikes last year – but the extended wait was worth it, because the show is wrapping up with a 15 episode season (previous seasons consisted of 10 episodes) that has been split up to make it a three part event. The first batch of episodes dropped back in July, and the second batch of episodes are set to begin streaming on November 15th. With that date right around the corner, a trailer for Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 2 has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above!

Do we really need a three-part final season of “Cobra Kai”? Netflix thinks so.
Trailers-wise, we are officially two-thirds of the way through the sixth and final season of the “Karate Kid” sequel series, which started way back in 2018 as a YouTube Premium show. Remember those days?
Since then, “Cobra Kai” has settled in nicely at Netflix. It’s a reliable series, though not an all-timer.
Now, in the Season 6-b trailer released on Wednesday, the Miyagi-do and Cobra Kai dojos head to Barcelona for the Sekai Taikai tournament. From Valley champs to world champs? Demetri (Gianni DeCenzo) doubts it.
“There’s no way we can win,” he says in the trailer.
Spoiler alert: There probably is a way.
On the bad side of the mats, Sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove) is fighting free.
“Some of us have nothing to lose,” he reminds Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio).

Sandra Bullock is one of the most prolific actors working in Hollywood. Hitting her peak in the ‘90s and the 2000s with her fun and approachable characters, Bullock went into dramatic territory with films like The Blind Side and Gravity. She earned Oscar nominations for both films, with the forming winning her the coveted award.
While Bullock had explored her dramatic side, she had never done a role that was disturbing before the Netflix film The Unforgivable. Playing a murderer who is released from prison after twenty years, Bullock claimed that though she had never played a role like this before, it still showed a side of her that existed within her.

Two worlds collide in the upcoming martial arts film Karate Kid: Legends. Part of The Karate Kid franchise, the upcoming film stars Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio, two actors who starred in different iterations of the original story, thus confirming that the ‘80s classic and the Jaden Smith starrer took place in the same universe.

And will feature Chan and Ralph Macchio reprising their iconic roles as well as Ben Wang as Li Fong. Notably, this would also be the first movie in the franchise not produced by Jerry Weintraub, who sadly passed away in 2015.

Some actors show immense talent from a young age, and Jaden Smith is one such example. The actor debuted as an 8-year-old alongside his father, Will Smith, in the 2006 movie The Pursuit of Happyness.

Sony unveiled new looks at three of its upcoming titles — Venom: The Last Dance, Karate Kid: Legends, and Kraven the Hunter — during an hour-long presentation at this year’s New York Comic Con.
The Friday night panel, which featured appearances by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, director J.C. Sony showed the first trailer for the newest “Karate Kid” movie, titled “Karate Kid: Legends,” at New York Comic Con on Friday night. The upcoming movie, releasing in theaters on May 30, unites franchise stars Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan and introduces a new student named Li Fong, played by Ben Wang.
Macchio returns as Daniel Larusso, whom he played in the original 1984 “Karate Kid” film trilogy and later reprised in Netflix’s “Cobra Kai” series. Chan is also back as Mr. Han, the kung fu master based on Mr. Miyagi, who coached Jaden Smith’s Dre Parker in the 2010 “Karate Kid” remake.
The trailer was shown exclusively to the New York Comic Con crowd and teased some intense karate action with the three leads. Macchio’s Daniel Larusso arrives in Beijing, where Chan’s Mr. Han has been seeking him out. Han has a new protege, Li Fong, and is his mentor figure,...

The final season of Cobra Kai finally kicked off on Netflix this past summer and a preview for part 2 was recently released. According to Netflix, Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2 “brings us to the Sekai Taikai, where Miyagi-Do will face new challenges and old enemies as they fight to become world champions — can they stay united as internal rivalries bubble back to the surface?” Part 2 premieres November 28, and the Finale Event comes in 2025… But the Karate Kid franchise won’t be taking much of a pause after the last episode of Cobra Kai airs. A new movie, which stars the original Karate Kid himself, Ralph Macchio as Daniel Larusso, alongside Jackie Chan as Mr. Han, his character from the 2010 version of The Karate Kid, is set to reach theatres on May 30, 2025.

Jason Kim worked as an interpreter in the Korean Air Force before joining Korea’s movie distribution company, Showbox. Before that, he studied international politics at Georgetown University in the United States. Making films had always been his passion which resulted in him making “Goodbye My Sunshine” (2010) and “Koala” (2013). However, with the action comedy, “Midnight Runners” (2017) starring Park Seo-joon, he finally scored a huge hit in Korea. “The Divine Fury” (2019), a horror thriller, was a local box office failure. In 2023, Kim then moved on to do the Netflix action drama TV series “Bloodhounds”.

Ever since 1995’s Rumble In The Bronx lit up our screens, I’ve been a huge fan of Jackie Chan. Not only for his subsequent work on this side of the Pacific but scrounging through every available resource to watch his previous Hong Kong action flicks. To date, I’ve seen over 80 of his 146 credited roles. Nobody has ever combined physical and character comedy as delightfully as he has. His work is even more remarkable considering that he’s choreographed and performed most of his own stunts for about 45 years!
Jackie turned 70 this past April, so his level of physical artistry is obviously starting to decline. But his new kid-friendly comedy, Panda Plan, delivers all the slapstick energy of his usual productions. Perhaps even too much for grownups. But kids should be delighted.

Panda Plan (aka Xiong Mao Ji Hua) opens on a highly meta note as action star Jackie Chan, played by Jackie Chan takes out an entire squad of terrorists while filming a scene for his latest film. After wondering if he’s supposed to be playing a superhero, he and his agent David review a list of possible off-screen activities. That list includes a housewarming party at Stallone’s new mansion and a celebrity golf tournament.
Jackie passes on all of them to accept an offer from the Noah Zoo to adopt Big Babe, their media star baby panda. What they don’t know is that the leader of what appears to be the evil equivalent of The Untouchables has been offered $100,000,000 to pandanap Big Babe.
With his right hand man James in charge,...
