CBS Sunday Movie (1985-1986)

An aging traveling salesman recognizes the emptiness of his life and tries to fix it.

After losing his wife and home in an accident, Amos Lasher ends up in the care of the state, specifically the Sunset Nursing Home. The head nurse of Sunset, Daisy Daws, rules the cowed residents with an iron hand, but as his determination to get out of Sunset grows, the more sinister his situation becomes.

A distraught mother (Valerie Bertinelli) and a tabloid reporter (Rachel Ticotin) search for the woman's son, who was kidnapped by a black-market baby ring.

The movers and shakers in Singapore get involved in behind-the-scenes political and business activities, romantic entanglements, and murder. Nicol Williamson plays the wealthiest man in Southeast Asia. Barbara Hershey is his married antagonistic daughter who starts an affair with an ambitious American banker (Bruce Boxleitner) and who also seems to have the attention of her father. John Waters plays Hershey's totally despicable husband.

Hélène Junot, a successful woman of action, leaves Paris for New York to face the failure of "Femmes modernes", the new magazine she had launched with her brother Edmond. Arriving in her empire, the "Junot Tower", erected in the middle of Manhattan, she confronts from the very first minutes the banker Gore, accompanied by his wife Jacqueline, Marcello Ditri, her former collaborator in Italy, whom she fired. Not to mention David Westerfield, whom she has loved for 20 years but who could not marry her because of his reputation, or the beautiful Z.Z., whose husband was her lover.

A social worker (Lindsay Wagner) starts to work with a shy, withdrawn 6-year-old (Taliesin Jaffe) whom she suspects is a sexual-abuse victim.

A hardened con (Robert Mitchum) being transferred from a federal penitentiary to a Texas institution to finish a life sentence as a habitual criminal is freed at gunpoint by his niece (Kathleen York). The cop (Wilford Brimley), who was transferring him and has been the con's adversary for over 30 years, vows to catch the twosome.

Hester Murdoch is found naked and nearly beaten to death by four young Hawaiian men on the beach and taken to the hospital. Some of the men didn't want to get involved, fearing they might be blamed, because she was white, but do so anyway. Almost immediately everyone suspects they are to blame. When Hester's politically influential mother Doris finds out what really happened, she fearing a scandal, forces her daughter to blame the men who rescued her, of raping and beating her. It's up to detective Curt Maddox, to find out what really happened, and their Hawaiian lawyer to do the impossible. Convince a white court of law, that they are innocent.

After a technicality results in the release of a man being tried for the rape and murder of a young woman, her father murders the man. Admitting his guilt and refusing to use temporary insanity, the father places his attorney in a virtual no-win situation. In an extreme effort, the attorney decides to call the judge who released the murderer originally and to challenge the entire legal system that would permit such a travesty.

An innocent man is identified as a rapist, and the accusation ruins his life.

Digger Barnes is furious when his friend Jock Ewing starts dating the love of his life Ellie Southworth. He is also convinced that Jock has cheated him out of his share in their oil fields. And so begins the decades long Barnes-Ewing feud.

The mysterious death of an army officer comes under investigation by Major Kendall Laird as the young soldier's parents seek an honorable burial place, out of respect for their son. The parents are assisted by their neighbor, Mrs. McAlister, in their patriotic and racially divided community.

A man honeymooning with his new wife in the Rockies reports his wife's disappearance to the police. Hours later, a strange woman escorted by the local priest claims to be his missing wife, despite the man's inability to recognize her.

In 1880, a motley group of passengers takes the stagecoach from Tonto, Arizona to Lordsburg, New Mexico via dangerous Apache territory.
