This final installment in Satyajit Ray's Apu Trilogy follows Apu's life as an orphaned adult aspiring to be a writer.

This is the second film about the detective Feluda (Soumitra Chatterjee) set in the holy city of Benares, where he (along with his cousin, Topshe and friend, Lalmohan Ganguly) goes for a holiday. But the theft of a priceless deity of Lord Ganesh (the Elephant God) from a local household forces him to start investigation. Feluda comes in direct confrontation with Maganlal Meghraj (Utpal Dutt), a ruthless trader. Maganlal makes the mild-mannered Lalmohan a knife-thrower's target and threatens Felu to stop investigation. But there are several other suspects as an innocent artisan is brutally murdered, a shady 'holy man' holds court on the banks of the Ganges and an adventure-loving little boy (and his grand-father), brought up on crime thrillers. The climax is a shoot-out on the Ganges, followed by the unraveling of the mystery.

'Choudhury Paribar' is the story of Choudhury family and its ups and downs. Barun the second son of the family tries to keep the family together. But, his wife and elder brother create situations that lead to differences and Barun leaves home. After several turn of events people in the family realize their mistakes and Barun finally manages t unite everyone under one roof.

Asol Nakol, Bengali movie was released on 1998. This movie is Tollywood film stars Satabdi Ray and Lokesh Ghosh as lead the pair. Music of the feature film is directed by Rahul Deb Burman and Buddeb Ganguly. The story is as Kalidas (Lokesh Ghosh) is a simple happy go lucky villager. His elder brother usurps his property and sends him to Kolkata to find his match as he was destined to marry a rich lady. In their childhood, the lady's father had decided that all his property would go to Kalidas post their marriage. He goes to Kolkata and finds out that the name of the lady was Aparajita (Satabdi Ray). Aparajita and her uncle conspire against Kalidas. They get married and after their wedding, Aparajita not only usurps the property but starts torturing him. Kalidas's situation becomes worse until Aparajita's uncle (Ranjit Mullick) comes in his rescue. As per his instructions, Kalidas gets a complete makeover. He takes up another identity in the name of Mohan Singh. He pretends to be a renouned singer and presents himself infront of Aparajita. Aparajita is swept by Mohan and she decides to marry him. She seeks divorce from Kalidas to marry Mohan. The truth is revealed soon and Aparajita realizes her mistake. She accepts Kalidas as her husband.

The story is based on a boy called Bikram who was locally knows as Lofar. Once he helped one of his friend Vashkar to get marry to his lover for which he was intitially arrsted. But his elder brother Rajib gave him bail. Vikram was a very helpful person but due to his attitude he was hated his entire family. Rajib's wife was always against him but she forgot that once when Bikram brought medicine at midnight breaking down the shutters of the store for her child, for which Bikram was arrested. In the mean while he fell in love with a girl called Tina whose father was a rich businessman. He disagreed with the realtionship of Tina with Bikram. Meanwhile Bikram's sister's marriage was fixed and an amount of rupees two lakh was needed. Bikram was offered some money by Tina's father to break his relationship with his daughter . Bikram denied at first, but when he was unable to arrange money for his sister's marriage, he decided to take the money from Tina's father. Rajib was very surprised to see that Bikram has arranged the money. And Rajiv tells Tina's father that Bikram needed the money only because he wanted to get his elder sister married. Meanwhile Bikram saves Tina from Ashok's father who was forcefully marrying her to Ashok. At the end Tina's father understands his mistake and allows Tina to marry Bikram.

Tapan Chatterjee has a huge and happy family namely his two younger brother, a sister, his parents and his caring and doting wife. Being a middle class man with values, Tapan is a devout lover of honesty and integrity. He and his wife together does a lot of good for the society for example provide contracts to the jobless men in the neighbourhood. Tapan's wife, the Barobou of the house takes care of everyone at home. She also ensures that her brother-in-law gets a job in a company however does not reveal this to anyone. As Tapan's younger brother Swapan gets a job and marries the only daughter of his employer, he starts becoming an arrogant man. His wife, a divorcee, also turns out to be a woman of similar characteristics. She is not willing to keep her son from her previous marriage and therefore Barobou adopts him and takes care of him as her own son. The elder couple, soon lose their respect in the house when Tapan's company is shut down. Things take a bad turn and misunderstanding after misunderstanding starts creeping into the family which tears them apart. However, the greatness to of the elderly couple is brought to light by Tapan's student and his sister. The younger brothers beg for forgiveness from the elder brother and the family is united once again.
