Recensione in evidenza
Disastrous, dangerous, and stupid. Nevermind the shambolic writing, wooden acting and the dollar store budget design, it fundamentally runs so much deeper with its problems surrounding the narrative. It swirls around trying to sow distrust in everything from school teachers to government in the name of freedom of speech.
My favourite part is probably the worship of Elon Musk, who personally takes an interest in the reporter who is BRAVE enough to spread "the truth". It's also peppered with segments from Fox News which tells stories that aren't actually true but presents them under the guise that they are by putting legitimate branding on fiction.
The creators seem to be trying to muddle fact and fiction as this is a heavily right leaning propaganda piece that attempts to masquerade as being based on true events - in a way this is true, as it's hugely based on the delusions of the right wing narrative surrounding mistrust from the American government, the secret service, and the education system. It's so heavy handed.
It's very fixated on Joe Biden's son too. Most scenes mention it. It also can't stop mentioning how Trump was unfairly banned on Twitter. What a time to be alive!
It's ironic that the film is about brainwashing and propaganda, considering one of the main narratives includes a young girl who robotically delivers lines similar to 'Can we get a mean dog to scare Liberals'.
