Watching Diamonds In The Sky was more like a cancer awareness class with the purpose of calling us to action: Get yourself checked as early detection saves lives!
DELICIOUS
-Thank you to the crew and cast for making this movie, we were really enlightened.
The film was intentional in explaining the details about cancer, its symptoms, and the precautions to take through the lens of three different women
-Have to give it up to Omowunmi Dada (playing Teniola) and Bimbo Akintola (playing the married woman), they stepped up their game👏
They captured the spirit of their characters and almost moved us to tears!
BLAND
-The storytelling and direction were, unfortunately, not smooth. The scenes didn't complete each other; one story would cut abruptly and then jump to another one
-Cinematography failed to give us proper lighting to the point that some actors' faces were darkened, e.g, when the university medical team came to see Teniola during her clinical admission
-We didn't get to know each main character personally as to who they really were, their aspirations, or likes/dislikes; the entire plot started and ended with cancer.
Part of it was also due to the art direction which didn't deepen the narrative😔
