The plot is simple: five soldiers are hired to investigate the disapearace of civilians in a small town called Midnight's Creek. As they reach the location, all they find is zombies and a lot of dead bodys. Their fighting for survival begins ... Midnight's Calling is an amateur splatter/action movie and even if you're into no-budget flicks (like i am), you won't like this one. Beside stupid dialogues and lame wanna-be action scenes, the actors are terrible(even for a movie like this). The zombies look like the've got toothpaste in their faces and the "special effects" are so bad, that most of the time you will only see machetes and shovels been held close to a body with lots of blueberryjuice around it. Those guys had about five blanks for their toyguns, in the other scenes you will hear the gunshot but will only see them shaking their rifles like if there's a pushback. This is weak and has been seen better in other amateur productions. The storyline doesn't follow a straight line, for example when the group splits up, one of them isn't senn anymore (neither dead or alive) and in the end the last survivior shows upwith woman wouldn't be seen in the whole movies, leaving the viewer clueless where she was found and what will happen next. All in all it looks like the makers of Midnight's Calling had a lot of ideas (i bet inspired by Resident Evil) and ended up with having not enough money and time and stopped filming when they recognised, that they 80 minutes of material that could be sold as "independent" splatter movie. Don't waste your time on this one and especially don't be so stupid to buy the DVD (like i was). Even the bonus-material (about 150 min.) is boring.
