      The show was a parody of Charlie's Angels (1976). The Teen Angels, Brenda, Taffy and Dee Dee were clearly inspired by Josie, Melody and Valerie from an earlier Hanna Barbera series, Josie e le Pussycats (1970), HB having lost the rights to those characters. The character design of Captain Caveman himself had already been used for the Slag Brothers in yet another Hanna Barbera cartoon, Wacky Races (1968). The story structure and character dynamics are reworkings of Scooby-Doo, dove sei tu? (1969) and its revivals.

      During the series intro sequence, the narrator is heard introducing Dee Dee and Brenda wrongly as Brenda and Dee Dee.

    Scooby Doo plus Charlie's Angels plus Diversity

    The Greta thing about the cartoon is it's fun filled mystery ride!! What makes it even better is it's neat to see people of color and in respectable roles too. Great for the 70's considering Scooby Doo never had a black personality in a single episode.
