The last project completed by Peter Cushing before his death in August 1994,and his final collaboration with Christopher Lee (the recording took place on May 17,1994). After the taping, they enjoyed some private time viewing their favorite funny cartoons. Their credit on screen simply reads "Narrated by Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee."

The final teaming of Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. The first half of the two-hour show was broadcast on the BBC three days before Cushing died of cancer. Producer Michael Carreras died shortly after that. Music was courtesy of Silva Screen Records. Because of time considerations, the program was broadcast on the BBC in a rough-cut form. It was subsequently re-edited for release on videotape in the US. Yet another version has been released on DVD in Japan, the US and Austalia. An expanded, 135 minute version is due to be released in the UK in 1997.

The Heritage of Hammer!

A more complete and fascinating study of the heritage left behind by Hammer Studios will not likely ever be done quite this well in this format again. To hear the narrative thoughts of Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee on their time with Hammer and its eventual rise and fall prove fascinating as do the many comments and interviews from the likes of Jimmy Sangster, Val Guest, Hazel Court, Ingrid Pitt, Caroline Munro, Michael Carreras, Raquel Welch, James Bernard and Tony Hinds's son. This is sure to thrill and delight any true fan of Hammer Horror. In fact it's a must-have!
