I really, really enjoyed Leopard Hunting!
Far from perfect, it is a hidden gem among the ton of classics that came out in the last of the golden age of HK cinema, directed by Ridley Tsui, complete with big cast and fantastic action pieces.
Sold mainly as a Jade Leung film, who looks amazing and plays the role great, but to me, this was all about Yukari Oshima.
Her character had a lot more to do, and regardless, she stole every scene she was in. Bad guy Roy Cheung keeps the (mainly) girl cops very busy as he causes trouble left, right and centre aided by the always impressive Yu Rong Guang.
Fight legends, Yuen Wah and Chung Fat, play their roles fairly quiet until the end where Wah gets to let lose more so, reprising his crazy cigar chomping self in the final battle.
Fast moving, well played and packed with great fights, Leopard Hunting deserves a clean release for fans of HK cinema and the always incredible, Yukari Oshima.
