PJ means `Police judiciaire', that means Judicial police. It is a police unit in the heart of Paris, and there is a familial ambient which is remarkable. This unity works well, and often is because anyone here is in this unit like a family. There is Meurteaux (M. Betton), who is the old chief of the unit, like the father of everyone, then Fournier (B. Wolkowitch) an excellent policeman, but who has been shot by gangsters, that's why he can be rude sometimes, Lamougie (G. Cramoisan), who is not appreciated from everybody because he has been accused of sexual violence on young children who were manipulated, Léonetti (C. Schneider), who has loving problem, he wins 3 millions at lottery and he losts it, he 's a strong man but sometimes stupid. There is also Porret (T. Desroses), who doesn't agree with the chief Meurtaux, and will leave the unit soon, Chloé (R. Lubansu), is a young policewoman, a little naive but intelligent.
Moreover, this series is realistic and the police unit has to manage with nowadays' problems in French society, but those problems can be found in every occidental society : delinquency, sexual violence, mafias, drugs dealers, alcoholism, conjugal violence, hit-and-run drivers, immigration.
In this series, every episode follows the previous one, and we can see the unit's work, but also the life in this unit. Unfortunately, this series isn't much diffused out of France.
