Funny and agreeable comedy for all kind of public about a duo of sympathetic showmen , decently directed by the prolific Mariano Ozores . Bemusing story with enjoyable moments and attractive acting by likable comedians : Esteso and Pajares , both of them working in show business . It deals with a sympathetic pair of unlucky showmen , a magician called Florencio (Fernando Esteso) and a singer/dancing cabaret actor named Amalio (Andrés Pajares) who play their acting between a little successful public . Florencio is a failed magician married to Claudia (Luisa Armenteros) and have three children . While Amalio , who has two children , is married to Emilia (Paloma Hurtado) who deceives him with a bouncer . Florencio and Amalio decide to live get together when they separate their wives . Then , they go to live at the same house . Both of whom join their five children (two little actors of ¨Verano Azul¨ series : Piraña and Tito and the Spanish Annie , among them ) . After that , they have new relationships with other women : Catalina (María Casanova) and Lola (Beatriz Carvajal) but to be frighten away by they sons . To pay the rent to their landlord (Ricardo Merino) they scheme a lot of set-ups , using thousands of tricks , Timos and fakes . When there appear other tenants (Emilio Forner , Maria Alvarez) to rent it , Florencio and Amalio disguise as monster Frankestein and Igor to scare them at some very amusing scenes . Thanks to their sons they form a comical couple who have a big success , and they are subsequently accompanied by their children . All of them , parents and sons create an amusing musical band , singing and dancing , becoming the Kings of music hall .
In this buddy movie there are colored actors , comical sketches , amusement , humor , catching songs , hilarious gags , guffaws and musical numbers . An enticing and acceptable Spanish comedy film and with its ups and downs ; here our protagonists demonstrate their real comical skills , including lovely songs and amusingly dressed in clown clothes . Although , here there are not naked girls , but you will laugh as never before . Fernando Esteso and Andres Pajares are two cool Spanish actors , usually playing a duo of unfortunate , roguish , swindlers as well as bungling people . They usually made couple in a lot of films and achieved much success in the eighties . ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Chulos¨ , ¨Yo Hice a Roque II¨ , ¨Agitese antes Usarla¨ were some of their greatest hits and ¨Los Bingueros¨ was the top of the iceberg of the great amount of films they starred together . The movies they played were funny and with many support's actors . The films were with short budget and lackluster but including comedy and lots of fun . Many actors and technicians worked and ate thanks to the huge success of the films . Those contained many nude girls , laughs and slapstick , being mostly directed by Mariano Ozores . ¨Padre No Hay Mas Que Dos¨ there are some nice jokes , great parodies and the cast , playing eccentric characters , make a cosy fit . It is a nutty Spanish comedy that offers no intellectual stimulus whatsoever , though it has some fun and hilarious moments . The film attempts to give laughs and it works , resulting in a passable and entertaining film . Supporting cast is plenty of familiar faces such as : Paloma Hurtado , Beatriz Carvajal , Luisa Armenteros , Ricardo Merino , María Casanova , Adriana Ozores . And addition , Adrián Ortega , Emilio Fornet who often appear in his films .
¨Padre No Hay Mas Que Dos¨ is a decent picture , being professionally directed by Mariano Ozores in his usual style and had limited success in the Spanish box office . Mariano's family origin is into show business , being son of Mariano Ozores Sr and brother of José Luis Ozores and Antonio Ozores . Furthermore , uncle of Emma Ozores and Adriana Ozores who here appears briefly as a host woman . Mariano is a craftsman filmmaker and writer , in fact he wrote the fun screenplay , he recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career . The latter made with these two famous comedians , -Fernando Esteso and Andres Pajares- several films , as they had various years partnership between the two leads , such as ¨Agitese Antes Usarla¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨ , ¨El Hijo Del Cura¨...these films are filled with humor that still holds up , especially for those not easily offended ; being sometimes cheesy and gross-out with numerous naughty and picaresque situations such as sex jokes , adulteries , crazy events , nudism , absurd situations , jealousy , and erotic scenes . Plus , they partially reflected the mood and the reality of Spain in the immediate Post-Franco era , dealing with politic juncture about the post-Franquismo in similar style to other films from this period . Ozores has a prolific career , as writer and as director , especially in comedy genre such as : Disparate Nacional , Tahiti's Girl , Brujas Magicas , Los Presuntos , Cuatro Mujeres Y Un Lío , Tío ¿De Verdad Vienen De París? , Alcalde Por Elección , Ellas Los Prefieren... Locas , El Apolítico , Jenaro El De Los 14 , Manolo La Nuit , El Abuelo Tiene plan , La Llamaban La Madrina , La Graduada , Venta Por Pisos and many others . Being his ordinary actors , the followings : Alfredo Landa , Lina Morgan , Paco Martínez Soria , Antonio Ozores , Jose Luis Ozores , Juanito Navarro .
