Il crollo di Roma

A poor man's "fall of the Roman empire "; and not good at history at that : there were no Christian persecutions after Constantin ;on the contrary , the religion spread during the fourth century ; and what about the final earthquake? Did they want to capitalize on the success of "the last days of Pompeï ",starring Steve Reeves (1959)? Unfortunately ,no vulcano was at hand .As for the fall of Rome, it occured in 476 AD.

The story is quite derivative ,with the young hero, who lacks charisma , but has two love affairs,the second one being a little less cardboard :she's an atheist and does not believe in life after death ,which was unusual in the sword and sandal genre.
