Il figlio della giungla

George Harland and his daughter Patricia are photographers on safari. She's making wildlife films. She encounters white jungle boy Bomba (Johnny Sheffield) who leads her through the jungle.

Johnny Sheffield is 18 during 1949. This is basically a discount Tarzan Jr. The story isn't much more than the standard Tarzan plot. The sets are mostly artificial nature in interior studios. I wouldn't say that there is great chemistry with the young couple. They are very white-bread 50's American teens. The best parts may be the actual nature footage and some of the animals which adds up to about 5%. The most compelling and the most brutal would be the native lion hunt. It's 70 minutes which is about 20 minutes too long. The story isn't worth that. It's a B-movie which looks very much like a B-movie.
