- QuizAfter the collapse of Hungarian film studios in World War II the first attempts to make quality films were sponsored by political parties in order to get their propaganda reach large audiences. In 1947 the two governing parties (the FKGP (Smallholders Party) and the Soviet-sponsored Hungarian Communist Party) made two films separately. This film was sponsored by FKGP (the Communist Party sponsored E' accaduto in Europa (1947) which turned out to be a huge success) but was initially banned after a screening to Communist official Mátyás Rákosi. Rumours says that Rákosi left the projection room after the first few minutes (containing a religious village ritual) and described the film as "religious reaction propaganda".
