[on playing a mermaid] For me it was a blank canvas of possibilities, I mean, it was wide open for possibilities. There is nobody to say, "Oh, that is exactly what a mermaid is like, or not like. If you play a rock star or a drug addict, you have a notion of what that should be like. But this is brand new. You just unleash the mind and go for it.
