He began his television career in 1987 and joined the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), he appeared in the series "Things Falls Apart". He then appeared in the television series "Checkmate" that ran from 1991 until 1994, he became famous for having portrayed as Raphael 'Raphie' Okereke. He joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 1992 when acting in the movie "Living in Bondage". He studied Theatre Arts at University of Ibadan and graduated with a degree.
