"I was particularly pissed off about some of the articles written about Amore a prima svista (2001) because I felt they were missing the point of the whole movie. We're saying it doesn't matter. Also zero letters - lots of articles in the paper about this, but not once did I get a letter from a heavy person saying 'I saw your movie and I think it sucked because you picked on heavy people'. None. In my heart I knew that we weren't doing what they claimed we were doing in the press'".
