Omaze announces its latest draw: an idyllic house in Batheaston - see inside

The dreamy house in Bath could be yours for just £10

Omaze has announced the latest house draw - an idyllic Georgian house in the much sought-after village of Batheaston. Sitting on the banks of the Avon river, just outside of Bath city, the house has six bedrooms, three bathrooms and a beautifully manicured garden (with private access to the river). It is up for grabs in the latest of Omaze's prize draws, with tickets costing from just £10.

Built in the honey-coloured limestone typical of the local area (known as Bath Stone), the Georgian-era house offers a pleasingly symmetrical facade, studded with uniform, white pained windows. The four floors inside play host to a lower-ground floor kitchen and adjoining pantry. The kitchen is the picture of country house sophistication, with wooden joinery, an AGA and a large inglenook fireplace built into the walls.

Tongue and groove panelling in the next-door pantry only adds to the comfortable feel. Up a flight of stairs is the light-filled ground floor, where a lounge, office, loo and garden room (with its own, smaller kitchenette – perfect for cocktail making when entertaining) are set around an entrance hall. Six generous, comfortable bedrooms are spread across two upper floors.

The decoration throughout is elegant: features such as wooden panelling, architraves and stone fireplaces have been carefully preserved by the house's current owners, while light-coloured walls and carefully layered fabrics provide a backdrop for a mixture of antique furniture and some more modern pieces. The lucky winner of the draw will not just become the owner of this rather exceptional house, but all of its furnishings too – from the AGA in the kitchen to the grand four-poster bed in the main bedroom.

Outside, the large, multi-level garden is divided into a terrace area (perfect for summer entertaining or al-fresco dining), a lawn and a greenhouse.

The village Batheaston is two miles outside of the historic city after which it is named. Known for its beautiful architecture, ancient Roman baths and lively art and theatre scene, Bath is fast becoming one of the UK's most popular cities, with many travelling to visit the recently opened townhouses-cum-shops 8 Holland Street, Berdoulat and natural paint company Atelier Ellis.

As well as all the furniture, the Omaze Bath house – thought to be worth £4 million - also comes with £250,000 in cash. Early entries will also be put into a separate draw to win a Bentley Continental GT.
