Beautifully written story of a lonely elderly woman, a directionless young man, and the octopus that knows the secret that binds them together. The story is deep and slow and left me thinking about it for days after finishing the book. As a bonus it’s got one of the best lines of a book I’ve ever read.
This one felt like a Hallmark movie/Christmas fan fiction of the series. Feyre is so wise and selfless and more than a bit of a Mary Sue in this book. I don’t feel like the plot of the overarching series moved forward much here, and the chapters from other character’s POV weren’t much better. Their voices all ran together for me.
