This is the fifth and final book in Elliot's Bone Secret series. It is a strikingly bad book. I cannot imagine anyone except an established author getting this book published. The plot is totally not credible, the characters are weak and the ending is absurd. It is the equivalent of a bad comic book, without any pictures. Of course, it does have the Elliot trademark of a cheesy sex scene. I guess it's to calm the two main characters down in the middle of multiple murders and kidnappings. The only good thing I can say about this book is that it was free on Kindle Unlimited.

Yeah! I would mention however that Kendra Elliot’s more recent mysteries have gotten much better. She has matured as a writer. Since I had read all of those, e.g. the Mercy Kilpatrick series, I decided to check out her earlier works—big mistake.
