“He’s a wicked boy, playing wicked games with my heart.”

Caleb did what he does best,
He broke Margo Wolfe.
Again.
Or at least he thinks he did.
His obsession with Margo is more than anyone knows.
More than even he wants to admit.
But there are more secrets to be discovered.
More of the past to be unhidden.
And both Margo and Caleb aren’t sure they’re ready to survive the truth.
Between Caleb and Margo’s stalker - the truth will come out eventually.
She just hopes she can survive the fallout.
That they both can.

“The game turned into: How far can I push until she breaks?”

I received an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review.

“My heart and my mind are at way - to love him or to hate him. How can I possible choose which one is right?”

This series has been living rent free in my head since the first book and with each book that comes out I become more and more obsessed (and I did not know that was possible).
You know the saying “A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing”? Keep that in mind for this book - that’s all I can say.
Loved Caleb and absolutely loved Margo - twists and turns throughout the whole thing and I could not put it down!!

“One minute we’re gasoline, the next we’re aflame. And I haven’t stopped burning.”

The first chapter being from Caleb’s POV was perfection IMO (especially after that book 1 cliffhanger) - his complete obsession with Margo and the development and understanding throughout this book was one of my absolute favorite things - while also having the mystery and the banter and the spice - the fight was on and I was loving every second of it.

” You’re not the docile lamb everyone thinks you are. You’re devious.”

SPOILERS FOR ALL THREE BOOKS so you don't have to waste your time trying to find answers, here they are:
For those of you that just want to know what all the drama is about in these books, this is for you. Keep in mind I skimmed through the second book and skipped to the end of the third to find the answers that I could not find in the reviews. If I would have just gotten the answers from the reviews I could've saved myself the struggle of these two books. So for those of you like me, here it is:

I could go on and on about these books, but there's no point. If you wasted your time on them I am sorry and if you haven't started, don't. Read this review and be done with it.

Told in dual POV, 1st person. It’s the second installment in the "Fallen Royals" series and ends on a huge cliffhanger. Wicked Games’s started exactly where book 1 has been ended. But the content of the book has nothing to say or at least nothing NEW to say. There is a twist exactly at the end but I had guessed it early and I have this feeling that I know what’s gonna happen in book 3. All in all, it fell flat for me and hope you enjoy it more than me!

Wicked Games dives deeper into the history between Margo and Caleb. We see some of her memories resurface and her taking her life into her own hands by seeking out answers for the many questions she has. Despite all that, much remains unknown about the gap in her memories, the who, the what, and the why.

You must read Wicked Dreams first and know that WG ends on a WTF cliffy. I am literally counting the seconds until we have Wicked Promises in our hands. This story has me on the edge of my seat because I know there's a bombshell coming and, while I've figured out some things, there are still far more questions than answers to their story. Kudos to Sara for an intricately plotted storyline!

3.5 Little Lamb Stars ⭐️
Spicy Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

I am starting to realize that "high school" bully romances are very formulaic. Or maybe it's just the high school bully romances I have read. They follow the exact same formula, with the exact same plot. This makes them predictable... BUT THERE IS A REASON I READ THE SAME TROPES OVER AND OVER AGAIN... This book and the "formula plot" is basically crack... and I might be a little whore for it!

NOTE: This is the second book in Margo and Caleb's love story and cannot be read out of order. There might be spoilers for the previous book. If you don't want to see them, please stop reading. If you do it's either because you do not care about spoilers or you have already read Wicked Dreams.

𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨:
This kicks off directly after the events of Wicked Dreams. Margo overheard Caleb trying to ruin her relationship with her foster family and ran away. Needing to clear her head and face the likelihood that her foster family is most likely going to want to get rid of her because of her ties to their daughter's death. Caleb soon finds her because he is playing chess while Margo is playing checkers. Unfortunately for him, his plan to isolate Margo from her foster family backfires and they end up closer than ever before. Now Caleb needs to navigate this new world of not wanting to destroy Margo's life Margo needs to decide if she forgives Caleb.

𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
Margo is determined to discover what's happened with her missing memories and who Unknown is. Both of these elements play a big part in the story and so she uses her tenacity to uncover as much as she can about her past. She has chosen to not let her fear dictate her life anymore, facing her demons and challenging Caleb at times.

Caleb is the exact same person he was in Book 1. He is cocky, arrogant, charming and a huge alphahole who is extremely possessive of Margo. But we see a different side of his story with a lot more elements of his fractured and broken home life. We have a front-row seat to his horrific abuse and you can start to understand why he is like he is. It's often difficult to read about his experiences, especially because you cannot jump into the pages and help him or hug him. You cannot help but feel sorry for him realising that the reason he is often so cold and why he has built up so many walls is because of the vicious treatment he receives from his family.

The spice frequency increases but it doesn't go too much higher in terms of kink. You should get comfortable with Caleb climbing through Margo's window and it ending in some steam...

The plot is left on a cliffhanger and will leave you reeling and while some things are revealed many questions carry through from book 1. BUT there are a lot of things that are not yet wrapped up. However if you have read book 1 and you loved it, you're gonna love this too. It gives you the vibes, the drama, the angst and is still exceptionally addictive. Like popcorn, you just want to shovel it into your mouth or like something harder - inject it into your veins. There's something in this writing and these characters that keep you hooked.

𝙏𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙨:
▶ Dual POV
▶ High School Romance
▶ Bully Romance
▶ Alphamale
▶ Obsessive, Possessive and Jealous MMC
▶ Touch Her You Die
▶ Dubious Consent
▶ Second Chance Romance
▶ Lost Memory

𝙈𝙞𝙘𝙧𝙤 𝙏𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙨:
▷ Look At Me
▷ Chin Lift
▷ Cages Her With His Arms
▷ Mine
▷ Hand Necklaces
▷ More

Ultimately, if you like bully romances and want something that will scratch that itch... read this because it is going to give you exactly what you need!

This book wasn't what I was expecting. After listened the first book in this trilogy, I need to know the rest of their story.

I think that the authors of Highschool bully romance are teaming up to write their first couples as a Trilogy, when it should be a duet or a standalone.

There's so many highschool bully trilogies out there, that I can't even count all of them. Only one of them was a 5 stars from the start to end, in my opinion, and I've really read a lot of them.

It doesn't have content or an interesting background to fill a Trilogy.
This book is shorter than the books that I usually read in one or two days, but it looks like it would never end!
I've lost focus on the story a thousand times, and... hey look... A butterfly!

Yeah... Not focused at all!

I liked the secrets and the hype around Caleb's and Margo's families, their baber where ok and she wasn't as much as a doormat from the first book, but nothing was really told our happened in this book.

They fight, they have sex, they party.
In between this, Margo's got a very few and useless pieces of memory back and Caleb got a heart.

Another cliffhanger and I'll read the last book, but I already have a feeling that it will be disappointingly meaningless.

Wicked dreams

He tried to ruin my chance of happiness, but I'm not going to let him
All is fair in love and war…… and the games are still on!!!
How I love this series!!!!
So many questions answered and so many more open, this book won't let you put it down!!

Caleb is an anti-hero who behaves questionably. He is no white knight and not a good guy. He has many secrets and it seems that even when we get answers, we get even more questions than before. We know he was behind all her foster home moving. We learn how he did it and we learn more about his family history' what he had to endure to survive and that there are more sides to him than we thought. The battle between him and Margo reaches its peak and he needs to decide his way. Does he want to break her? Does he want to protect her? What price is he willing to pay?

Margo is no longer a sheep – she is becoming the wolf(E) she was meant to be. She plays the game and she is in the lead. She is strong. And she is starting to remember pieces of the past. She finds true home and there is even a promise for the future!!
BUT there still is a big secret she does not remember and she doesn't know the forces she is up against!!
Why didn't Amberly like her child? What was her father charged with? Why was all media erased? What did she hear and not kept to herself? Why is Caleb's uncle in charge of his guardianship, why is he so angry? How is the foster worker involved? What does the lawyer know? Are the kids families involved? Why most parents are MIA, who is really a friend and what is everybody hiding?

can Caleb and Margo fight every bode and everything?
can't wait for book 3!!!

5 We're Inevitable Stars

First of all, let me just say to Ms Massery....how are you gonna do us dirty like that?!?!?!?! Are you serious with that ending???? I kept trying to turn the page to get more!

Ok, now that the awful cliffhanger has been addressed, lets talk about how completely EPIC the Fallen Royals series really is. If you loved Wicked Dreams as much as I did, you are in for a treat with Wicked Games. Wicked Games picks up right where Wicked Dreams ended, with chapter one being told in Caleb's POV.

After the betrayal in Wicked Dreams, it was hard to see the good in Caleb. I was so angry with his actions and despite liking him for most of the story, I had a hard time seeing past that . I knew going into this book that Caleb would have to work hard for my, (ok, lets be real here), Margo's love and trust. He spent a majority of the time still being a jerk but those moments when his caring and concerned side shined through...I LIVED for them! When he accepted his feelings toward Margo for what they were, the change in him was evident, and their relationship really evolved. The story being told in dual POV helps show the internal struggles both Caleb and Margo go through and it was Caleb's POV that really sold me on his feelings.

Margo, no longer the sheep she's been referred to in the past, is now a wolf with all the armor she needs to play Caleb's games. I LOVE this girl and her ability to remain strong in the face of Caleb. She's really grown a backbone in this installment of the series and it was beautiful to watch her evolution. She has become more confident in herself and more sure of her need for answers.

Wicked Games is heartbreaking, yet beautiful. It's packed with more secrets, mystery and suspense, and my need for answers grew as the pages turned. I'm dying to know more of Caleb and Margo's childhood and learn how their families are intertwined and how they got to be where they are now. Some questions are answered and yet more remain. Captivating and completely addicting, Wicked Games is S. Massery at her finest. I cannot wait to see what Wicked Promises has in store for us!

12/08/2021: Reread! Listened to the audiobook this time.

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.

Well, the secrets just keep on coming in this second installment of the Fallen Royals series. And that cliffhanger! The author really must be trying to kill me.

I have totally fallen in love with this author's writing style. She pulls you into the story effortlessly. I love that I never know what to expect. She keeps pulling shocking plot twists out of the woodwork like it's nothing. Her narration is so smooth and inviting that I fall right into it like it's the comfiest bed known to man.

I loved the character development for both Margo and Caleb in this book. Margo's evolution was such a delight. She finally finds her confidence and sticks up for herself. She vows to not let anyone break her. Caleb's change was in a different way. His hatred was strong at the start of the book but he succumbs to his other feelings for Margo eventually. We get to learn more about their pasts even though there is still a lot we don't know. I liked the glimpses that we got into the secondary characters along the way.

The romance really takes a turn in this book. After what happened at the end of the first book, Margo is determined to hate Caleb just as much as he hates her. Their convoluted past is full of both good and bad so it's hard for them to pinpoint their true feelings for each other. There is a lot of back and forth between them before they realize that they care more about each other than they thought. There are still secrets between them but they finally find some harmony between them. Their chemistry is still on fire. Their connection is so heated and raw and full of so many emotions that can only come from knowing someone so intimately for so long.

Overall, this is a suspenseful series that will leave you mindfucked. This story will get under your skin and you will get addicted to the angst and the raw emotion in the story. The mystery and suspense will keep you on your toes. This book was absolutely brilliant and I can't wait to see the conclusion in Wicked Promises.

I like the first book a little better. Couldn’t for the life of me connect to the main characters, felt that was too many secrets that were just a matter of bluntly asking and most of would’ve been answered. Also I didn’t love the miscommunication plus the girl being so easy to forgive. Caleb also seemed to be full of hate and like a blink than he was not.
Let’s see what the last book will bring

Oh my WOW, the Fallen Royals series just keeps getting better and better! I’m head-over-heels in love with this story and series! Wicked Games is the story of a deliciously dangerous game of cat and mouse with a devastatingly handsome devil of a prince, and a beautiful and broken princess whose past together is tangled truth laced with lies. A story of soulmates seeking salvation. Broken sees broken, and Caleb and Margo are two kindred spirits with beautiful hearts beneath the darkness, soulmates fated together in the most messy but meaningful of ways.

”I want you to hurt. I want you to feel it.”

In Wicked Dreams, the stunning and smart Margo was a caged butterfly, fearful to spread her wings. However, in Wicked Games, oh does Margo fly! I loved witnessing this heroine’s growth, her evolution of confidence and strength. Margo is as bold as she is brilliant and beautiful, and she is a force be reckoned with in this novel! The hero, Caleb, is somewhat of an anti-hero who’s beautiful, broody, bold and brave. He’s edgy and so imperfectly perfect. He let down his walls in Wicked Games, softening those hard edges, making me love him even more!

No one else has looked at me like he does. Like I’m the source of every ounce of pain ... and his redemption.

S. Massery has outdone herself in Wicked Games, a heartbreakingly beautiful book that wraps you in suspense and delicious drama while hitting every feel. I took and felt every feel that this romance had to give and more. The Fallen Royals series continues to catch me, claim me, and catapult me into an addicting world of tantalizing tension, thrilling twists, and fierce fire. I burned from the brokenness and bleeding angst, as I rode this roller coaster of a romance that rendered me breathless. Massery flawlessly bleeds broken with beautiful in this tale of torment and tenderness, and there aren’t enough stars to bestow on this breathtaking bully romance that’s simply unputdownable.

”We’re inevitable.”

Most of this was filler. This series easily could have been a duology. Margo wanted answers about what happened in the past but avoided doing just about anything to get solid answers. The lack of genuine honesty between Caleb and Margo was frustrating. Haven't any of these kids heard of public records? I would have been much easier to get info if they had gone that route.

Ok. This isn't really good but I'm eating this shit up like rice. So I'm giving it 3 stars for both the author's effort and mine for finishing it.

There's still some answers needed but it was stretched AF. This could have been a duology. I, accidentally, read some spoilers but I'm still pushing for book 3. 🤣

The characters were both toxic and confusing in book 1. They just emphasized it on book 2. They go back and forth with their arguments while kissing and fucking. Pure confusion.

Je suis confus et insatisfaite. 🌸

Continuing right where we left off with Caleb trying to sabotage Margo's life over && over again. But maybe his goals have changed after all!

I couldn't put this one down!! It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Caleb && Margo are end game, right? Like, there's no other outcomeee 🤞🏻 Rooting for their love so hard, especially through the ending cliffhanger!

I really enjoyed the development between Caleb and Margo, but I still have so many questions regarding what happened in the past and how that’s effecting now. Like who’s unknown, what actually happened in Margo’s house, and what’s going on with Caleb’s Uncle??

He is a sociopath- nothing sexy there

Holding a grudge like this since what age???? That is not healthy and no amount of creative writing can make this type of behavior sexy or romantic. Dude is cray cray and the h is just too weak natured or D- hypnotized to see it.

Now this is what I was talking about! Alexa, play Bite Me by Avril Lavigne.

📿👑 The story 👑📿
After the surprising reveal in the last book, Margo has to find a way to deal with everything, while still searching for the truth behind her past.

This is exactly what I meant in the last book; Margo finally stood up for herself in this one, and I absolutely love the person that she became! I love the way she was giving Caleb a hard time, and he was just being a sad little puppy. Teehee, I love that. What did annoy me a bit, was the fact that Margo had the chance to actually ask Caleb about their past, and then she suddenly decided that she didn’t want to know? I’m sorry, but that’s really stupid to me. There were still a lot of questions in this one, but they’re slowly being answered, and I’m glad. It’s being dragged out too long lol.

Unknown is still shady, and it’s all still very mysterious. Some random new characters were introduced, and unless there’s a new book about them, I have a feeling that both Matt and Claire are behind it all. I don’t know, but they were giving weird vibes. I just don’t trust Claire, and she’s too random of a character not to have anything to do with it all. The other boys were great, I can’t wait to read their stories. Especially Theo with his weird obsession with that girl lmao. I do wonder who And lastly, I have to mention the end. What a way to end, damn. I can’t wait to see where it’ll go from here!

📿👑 The characters 👑📿
🐺Margo 🐺
So, you should definitely play Bite Me while reading this part, because it describes Margo and her relationship with Caleb in this book so damn well. Like I said, I really enjoyed the person she became! She finally showed some backbone and stood up to him, and I loved her for it. It did annoy me how she kept blaming her dad for everything, while She was still naïve/stupid at times, so I didn’t like that. But besides that, she was a lot better, and I did enjoy her!

🖌️Caleb 🖌️
He was soooo darn cute in this book! Sure, he was still his psycho self, but I just love him :’) We finally got a little insight into his life, and why he feels this way about Margo. He obviously hasn’t had it easy, and I can’t help but feel bad for him. Seriously, he’s such a cutie, and I can’t wait to see him react to the events at the end of this book. I. Love. U. Man, did I do a 180 in my opinion of him. The way he responded when she dude. “You came for me,” I’M CRYING.

📿👑 Overall conclusion 👑📿
I loved this one sooo much more than the last book!! I read the entire thing in a night, and I just couldn’t stop reading. Margo finally showed some backbone and stood up for herself, and I’m now full on shipping her and Caleb. Caleb is one cute cinnamon roll, and I can’t wait to see where their story will go from here!

Oh my goodness gracious! Wicked Games is just as amazingly insane and epically good as Wicked Dreams was. I seriously could not put this book down. I basically devoured this book in one day, but you know, adulting got in the way. Wicked Games picks up right where Wicked Dreams left off (everyone remember that damn cliffhanger?!) and we start to get the answers we have been so desperately waiting for. This book does not disappoint at all. Not even a little. Prepare yourself to be drawn back into the madness of Emery-Rose Elite along with your favorite bad boys. Advanced warning though, be prepared for this book to end on another epically awesome cliffhanger that will leave you reeling and wanting more.

Let’s start with the boy we all love to hate. When Wicked Dreams ended, I hated Caleb so much. I could not believe he would do what he did to Margo ( I won’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t read Wicked Dreams yet. Go read it people!). I was so incredibly angry with him and wanted to throat punch him. In the beginning of Wicked Games, I still hated him and wanted to throat punch him most of the time. However, as the story progressed, I found myself hating him less and less until finally, I fell in love with his character. S. Massery did such an amazing job with his character development. I mean, he’s still an asshole 99% of the time but that other 1% is truly something. He stops fighting against his attraction and feelings for Margo. He finally allows himself to feel what he feels for her and honestly, that made me like him. He admits that he doesn’t want to destroy her life because it would cause her pain and her pain is his pain. He’s still pretty wicked and twisted, but he actually starts to behave more like a human being in this book and I loved every second of it. I can’t wait to see what his character is like in the third book.

Margo’s character in this book is amazing. Again, S. Massery did a fantastic job on character development in this story. Margo was a little weaker and more easily manipulated in the first book. She was often called “sheep” by Caleb and his friends, but let me tell you, she is no longer a “sheep” in Wicked Games. This girl developed a backbone and it was amazing to read. I am so proud of her for standing up for herself to other people, including Caleb, and no longer taking their shit. Caleb does still have some pull on her, but not nearly as much as he did in Wicked Dreams. She is more than capable of standing up for herself and telling people to shove it. She’s made such progress since the first book. There are times when she’s still really sad, feels like she doesn’t deserve actual happiness, and confused about her feelings for Caleb. Even with all of those feelings going on, she’s still a badass. Margo is my favorite character in this trilogy.

Margo and Caleb together was seriously something crazy to watch unfold. I loved every damn second of it though. I could not put the book down because I had to see what crazy thing Margo and Caleb were going to do or say next. In Wicked Games, we also get to see a side to Caleb that we’ve never seen before, that Margo has never seen before. He started to treat her like an actual human being in this book. She is not an object or a person meant to be destroyed. Caleb is totally in love with Margo even if he doesn’t want to admit it (I mean why else would you no longer want to ruin her life?!). These two are fascinating together. They both need one another in ways they don’t even understand. These two have so much chemistry with one another. The physical relationship between them is HOT! Ahem, football game. I will not say anymore than that. It was intense to read at times. Their physical chemistry is insane, but I can’t wait to see them connect on a more emotional level as well. Things are going to be interesting in the third book.

Overall, I rate this book a 5/5! Wicked Games is a little dark, a little twisted, a little wicked, with a whole lot of suspense, intrigue, and mystery. This book had a little bit of everything. You have intense romance, the mystery of the Wolfe and Asher families, Margo’s blocked memories, and the normal drama of high school. There is so much to like about this book and you will not want to put it down. And the ending my friends! The ending is intense and will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next. I cannot wait to see where S. Massery will take us in the conclusion to this wicked tale.

Wicked Games continues Caleb and Margot's story following on from the cliff-hanger of Book 1. Wicked Games is full of twists and turns, some secrets begin to unfold while others become more complex. For the first half of the book Caleb and Margot's relationship is much the same as the first book, however Margot isn't blinded by Caleb's charm and the chemistry between them now. Wicked Games shows great character growth from Margot from a sheep to a Wolf(e) and I loved that Caleb's actions and secrets have given her the confidence to stand up for herself and try to find the answers so is missing.

As the Audiobook progressed I found myself trying to figure out the twists and turns that S. Massery throws our way, but needless to say I only ended up with more questions. I loved the relationship that develops between Margot, Lenora and Robert (her foster parents) they love Margot and I found the fact that she has a positive parental relationship in her life for once, very uplifting.

As for Caleb from the Man he is at the start of the book to the one he is at the end of this book is captivating. As he begins to piece things together too he shows a softness towards Margot, surprising himself he begins to care. Of course the novel ends on another cliff-hanger and I am ready to get stuck straight into book 3.

“We’re not done. Eventually, she’ll shatter for me, and the game will be over.”

S. Massery strikes again, with another banger. I’m obsessed with this series. It’s living rent free in my head. This rerelease is masterfully written.

This book picks up right after that jaw dropping cliffhanger in Wicked Dreams. Caleb broke Margo, or so he thinks he did. His obsession with Margo runs stronger than he would like to admit. She has seeped into his soul without him even noticing. Margo has risen from the ashes and formed into the wolf that she is meant to be. That’s a turn on for Caleb and it wakes him up. There are tons of secrets that need to be uncovered. Caleb is worried that these secrets may destroy Margo. There is also a stalker that is trying to destroy them and they will have to figure out who is behind it. Can they survive the ripple effect of all the secrets? Will her memories come back to haunt her?

Sara is a romantic suspense master. The twist and turns this story took left me frustrated because I NEED TO KNOW!!!! One second you think you have it figured out and then Sara comes and flips it on you. I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! In this book you get into Caleb’s head and understand him better. I enjoyed seeing Margos transformation into a badass. They both have amazing chemistry, banter, and spice. I need the final book in this trilogy in my hands now!

On a side note, I hope Sara gives us Eli, Liam, and Theo books. Especially Theo. He looks like he has some secrets.

Tropes: hockey, suspense, mystery, revenge, stalker, dark romance, touch and die, second chance, childhood friends to enemies to lovers .

Thank you so much Sara for the ARC!

ARC review: Wicked Games by S. Massery

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wicked Games picks up right where Wicked Dreams left off, and despite getting some much needed answers, we are left with more questions which kept me reading - I devoured this in just over a day (would have been less if life didn't life). I didn't want to put it down because I wanted to know what was going to happen next.

I love the growth both main characters go through, individually and as a couple. That being said, there is still so much that has yet to be said and secrets to be revealed. I am really looking forward to the final book in the series to gain some closure and discover what's to come.

And who the f**k is this stalker?! I'm at the point where I'm saying it's everyone!

From bullying to caring, enemies to lovers, missing memories to confusing flashbacks, this book sure kept me on my toes!

Thank you so much to the author and @valentine_pr_ for this arc in exchange for an honest review!

Caleb and Margo's tumultuous story continues in the second installment of the Fallen Royals series. This book picks up from the cliffhanger in book 1 and also ends in a cliffhanger.

Margo thought she could outrun Caleb, but his obsession outweighs his affection for her. He can't let her go. He won't. And she can't erase him from her either. Between dealing with Caleb and her stalker, Margo has her work cut out for her to survive them both.

I would've explained more, but I do not want to give anything away. I really enjoyed this book. I love how you have the spice and the romance, but there is also suspense, mystery, and thrills in the book as well. The development of Margo and Caleb's characters is very evident in the story compared to book 1. We begin to see a softer side to Caleb and a more powerful side to Margo which just shows how, even if they may hurt each other, they could be the best thing for one another. I am loving this series so much and I look forward to continuing on the Caleb & Margo rollercoaster.

Yesss!

“Because if I do lose you, I’ll go down whatever f*cking dark hole you bury yourself in, and I will find you. I will bring you back.” - Caleb to Margo

This second book is so much more intense than the first. I went into this book with so many questions. And some didn’t get answered til the final chapters of the book.

I love watching the build up between Caleb and Margo. And S. Massery does an amazing job of describing Margo’s fears and struggles. There’s still so much steam between the two.

But what gets me is the amazing ways S. Massery builds the worlds and the characters and hooks you in.
