Faux Pas

Rate this book
A vacation fling wasn't what she was looking for, or was it?

Six days in Paris, that was the plan. Keep my head down, do my duty, and then I'd go back to my vineyard. It was smooth sailing until she came into the restaurant and sent back my newest full-bodied, savory creation.

I ignored her until she stormed out of the restaurant looking for a taxi at one in the morning. The gentleman I was, I couldn't leave her wandering around the streets of Paris, could I?

I'd give her a ride, make sure she was safe, and it would be done. Except it wasn't.

Something about her pulled at me. With one drunken moment and a simple question, everything went haywire.

This could be the vacation fling of a lifetime. After all, there is no real reason for her to know my life story and all my secrets.

I'm France's most eligible bachelor.

This 'faux pair' is almost a faux pas...

I have wanted to read this author for a really long time, even have some of her books patiently waiting to be read on my kindle. So finally, I got to read her and hot damn I am really liking what I got in this read and can’t wait to read more by her.

We start off with getting to know Meghan, she’s flown to Paris to enjoy a impromptu trip with her best friends to relax and enjoy themselves, see the many sites of beautiful Paris. Little did she know by sending back and declining a bad bottle of wine in a top restaurant in France would she be meeting France’s most eligible bachelor. And never did she imagine she would be falling head over heals for this man.

Alex and Meghan fight off their attraction. But their chemistry is too strong, their attraction impossible to deny. There’s secrets hidden and not told that eventually come out and crush this amazing new couple. So how will this couple fair the lies and the impossible distance?

I enjoyed this story, it was sweet and I definitely look forward to more from this new to me author!!! Recommend this book for those of you looking for sexy French men, sweet love, and the relationship that makes you ewww and ahhhh 😁💗

What can I say apart from MERCI Natasha Madison!!

I am a French citizen who lives abroad and I am so happy that your words took me back to Paris, my favourite city, my hometown , for a few hours.
You nailed it- I could name the restaurant with the beautiful view on the Eiffel Tower and I love it there despite the waitress who never smiles LOL.

The story was romantic and an easy read that put a smile on my face. I could feel that the author has put a lot of efforts in researching Paris but also has clearly shared her experience. Le Père Lachaise, the lockpad bridge, LA DURÉE...

Alex and Meghan was a fairy tale that was set in the city of love and will make you want to buy a plane ticket to go to Paris!
The banter and the relationship of Meghan and her girlfriends made me laugh so hard- they had no filters and I loved that.

Merci beaucoup!

5 Stars!

As soon as Natasha Madison stepped onto the writing scene as an author, I knew she was going to be very special. The ease of her words and the addicting quality in her characters... I had no doubt she would be big. And since her first book, she gets better and better, releasing yet another new favorite of mine.

Faux Pas is her latest standalone contemporary romance and y'all holy wow! This book was everything. Sexy. Sweet. Fun. Laugh out loud. The best group of friends and one couple you will never forget. I laughed, I swooned, I even cried a bit when the emotions got thick... I loved loved loved this book a lot and it's one I won't soon be forgetting.

She's on a vacation. He's British royalty. From the moment they meet, nothing will ever be the same. The draw between them is just to magnetic and the fire between them continues to burn brighter... Yet they live countries apart with established lives. But in the game of love.... anything can happen and for these two, forever is just the beginning.

Meghan and Alex lit up my kindle the moment they met. Sparks flew and I instantly knew this journey was going to be full of sexiness, sassiness, and a whole lot of heart and fire ..... and boy I was not wrong at all y'all. The chemistry between them was so undeniable, electric, suffocating in the best ways and the moments they shared were so very unforgettable every single time!

Natasha is a new go to author for me and now I crave her words so hard... I can't wait for her next.

I highly recommend this book.

4 stars!

I loved this book. A fun, sexy, gorgeously romantic book with a love story that completely captured my heart!

Meghan and her two best friends are on an impulsive trip to Paris for five days, excited to explore, see the sights, and party it up in the city of light. They are doing just that at a restaurant one night when they encounter a rude waiter and bad wine, and they complain to the Manager. He is clearly not happy, but when the girls are stumbling along the street looking for a taxi, he seems concerned for their safety and offers them a ride home. And then he continues showing up… everywhere.

Alex is a wealthy businessman whose family owns multiple successful restaurants across Paris. He’s only in the city for a short while and is keen to get back to his family’s vineyards, but there’s something about the feisty Canadian tourist that captivates him and he is unable to stay away. Meghan is equally attracted to the gorgeous, if rude, Frenchman and the chemistry between them simmers through multiple meetings and nights out until it all becomes irresistible and they throw themselves into a holiday fling that rocks both of their worlds.

Ho.ly. hell. This book is SO freaking sexy! Alex and Meghan are wild for each other and they both have a dirty streak, and the sex is hot, intense and a little bit filthy, and just… wow. They literally can’t get enough of each other, and when the time comes for Meghan’s holiday to come to an end, neither of them are ready to let go.

“This,” I say, gesturing back and forth between us. “This isn’t just a fucking fling anymore,” I say, putting my hands on my waist. “I want this all the time.”

But Alex has a secret, and it’s a huge game changer. How will these long-distance lovers cope with being on different continents, especially once Meghan learns the truth about his status as Paris’ most eligible bachelor… and all of the baggage that comes with it?

I freaking loved this romance. It’s natural, functional and beautifully intense with no game playing or stupid behaviour, and so many feels! Yes, they’re not always perfect, but their relationship is realistic (for romanceland, anyway) and their actions are understandable, I could feel everything happening between them, and I loved watching them follow their hearts and figure it all out.

Alex, in particular, rocked my world as the smitten man in love. Just, wow. He’s hot, he’s sexy, he’s romantic and super swoony and I fell madly for him!

“I fall in love with you more and more everyday. Your laugh, your smile, even when you get angry and tell me to fuck off. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, I don’t know anything, but one thing I do know is that wherever this life leads me, I can’t do it without you at my side.”

*dreamy sigh*

I did find that parts of the book seemed a bit rushed. It was fast moving, jumping from scene to scene really quickly, and I admit I wasn’t immediately invested in the story. It wasn’t until the love story really ramped up that I started to feel it, and wow, did I feel it!

And another thing - I didn’t understand the need to put all of the French dialogue in, especially when it’s immediately followed up by an English translation, which I appreciated, but it’s sometimes thrown into the middle of a conversation that up until that point has been all in English. Why? Of course I just skimmed it looking straight for the translation, but it did break into the flow of the story a little bit.

So yes, I did have some issues with this one, but those are so easily overlooked because the love story is just so damn gorgeous, and I couldn’t get enough of Alex and Meghan together.

The book ends in a great place, with a gorgeous epilogue that finishes the story off beautifully, and I finished this one with a huge grin on my face.

4 stars.

FOUR Paris STARS ****

Natasha Madison is taking us to Paris!!! We go to the city of lights, to experience the romance, the beautiful architecture, the delicious wines, and macaroons. This delightful novel will be like taking that amazing vacation you’ve been waiting for...

 photo 44B51C03-54EC-491F-921D-B0196FEBC106_zpshcmogboh.jpg

Meghan and her two best girlfriends are going to Paris for a one week vacation. One night they were drinking wine and having fun when they decided to take a trip to the most romantic city in the world.

When they get there, they have their whole itinerary planned. Beautiful restaurants, breathtaking views, and a lot of fun await them. But not everything will be as they expected. One night at a restaurant, a really rude waiter and a bad bottle of wine will cause Meghan to meet a mysterious Frenchman that will make her trip something that she will never forget.

My favorite thing about this novel has to be Meghan. Her character is strong, sassy and unapologetic. Meghan knows what she wants, what she’s worth, and won’t settle for less. She’s also funny, her friends too. There’s just something so awesome about strong female characters in a novel. It also didn’t hurt that Alex was not only French, brooding, and incredibly sexy. The chemistry between the main characters was super, red-hot!!!!

Like I said at the beginning of my review, reading Faux Pas felt like a fun, beautiful and romantic vacation to Paris. Truly Magnifique!!!

Dnfed @ 27%

The author has racially profiled an entire nation based on what information we don’t yet know, however, the information were untrue. She has used demeaning and derogatory terms for the French people and was downright racist. On top that she was extremely racist towards the “Albanians”, her word, not mine. The information she has given about France is also incorrect. I have people verifying those information for me. So she has portrayed a country and nation under bad light throughout her book with the information which can be deemed false.

I personally would like to know where she has gotten her research material from. I’m hoping it’s not the movie “taken”. Despite Liam Nelson’s brilliant screen presence, one has to remember, that is a fictional work, produced in Hollywood and cannot be used as a reference material.

All the talk of the “snotty French”, is this Natasha’s personal experience during her visit in France? If so, she probably should put a disclaimer and a bold one that comes to everyone’s attention BEFORE reading the book not 27% after.

“The Albanian” May be a kidnapper? Did she not read what she wrote, did the editor not read what she wrote and did the numerous reviewer before me not read what she wrote? How is this not racist?
And since when is it cool to be racist?

Has this been about a judgemental sheltered conservative white female? Well, in that case, if you haven’t started redeeming her by 27%, it is a too little too late.

People would invariably bitch and moan about people being too politically correct this days, and no fun. To those people, political correctness is not fun policing. It’s telling you that most of the others around you is not finding it funny when you make your joke in expense of the others. When you joke about the French l, and then say no disrespect, ummm...if you have to reassure no disrespect it usually means whatever you said sounded disrespectful so whether you meant it or not is now moot, and it’s open to interpretation to the one it aimed at. Political correctness is not making things too prim, it’s just telling you, you can no longer get away with being disrespectful in the name of fun. Political correctness is respectful.

“Chérie, it’s me and you. It’s always just me and you.”

Faux Pas by Natasha Madison is a beautiful toe curling romance that left me swooning for days! Meghan and Alex were simply MAGIC on the pages! It was supposed to be an amazing vacation with friends from a wine-induced night of decision making, but it turned out to be a journey towards a happily ever after that Meghan will never forget. That YOU will never forget.

A gorgeous French hunk with a mouth that will bring you to your knees. A beautiful spitfire Canadian that holds nothing back. Together, these two set the pages on FIRE! Their sexy, swoony, and oh so romantic love story left me with the biggest smile on my face. Faux Pas was light-hearted, fast-paced, dreamy, and ridiculously charming! I never wanted their story to end! There was amazing banter, incredible chemistry, and enough exciting adventure that will have you booking your next vacation to Paris ASAP! Happy reading because this book right here is sure to transport you to your happy place in no time at all!

4.5 Stars!

Meghan and her two best friends are on vacation in France and these three ladies are a blast. They are clearly adventurous, loads of funny and hilarious.

After getting a bad bottle of wine, at one of the many restaurants on their list of places to go while on vacation, they meet Alex. Being from Canada they have no idea who he is and Meghan doesn’t really even care. Although she finds him extremely attractive she also thinks he is very rude.

These two characters have great chemistry and I loved their relationship journey. Reading this book made me want to read about Alex’s Hollywood friend, Tyler, which is the next book I am taking on.

I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!! I even now have my 24 year old daughter reading her books!

Full of swoony moments, Faux Pas is crazy good. I found the beginning to be a little slow, but was quickly pulled into Meghan and Alex’s story.

The two are rich with chemistry, from the moment they meet. They fit each other so well, and while their story isn’t without obstacles, it’s refreshing. The characters are witty and fun, and each uniquely flawed.

Overall, Faux Pas is a must read from me. I couldn’t get enough of the story, I want to be whisked away to Paris. Faux Pas is sweet, spicy and and a joy to get lost in.

I really enjoyed reading Faux Pas. It encapsulated a few things I loVe LoVe loVe: Paris, the French culture, food and did I mention Paris?
This is my first Natasha Madison book and I really enjoyed the way she writes.
Faux Pas takes you into a whirlwind journey of gastronomical adventures of food, wine and more wine, whispers of sweet declaration by a frenchman (absolutely nothing wrong with it hahaha), friendship and love (what more can you expect from the city of love, right?)

Faux Pas is truly an enjoyable read. Loved it!

I just read Faux Pas. Natasha Madison is a genius.

I have 5 exams next week. I should be studying and I started a new job. A job where I really do not understand anything. My life keeps rushing and rushing. There's no break. I am busy - I have no time! But I took my time for this book. And it was worth every second of it. It was my break... my desolation and my biggest salvation.

I loved every single book, that Natasha has ever written. She's just it. Easily my favorite author. She is the only author that can keep me from drowning. Her books, the characters, and the storylines make it so easy for you to stand still and take a break.

And this book is no different. This book is about Alex and Meghan. Two completely different people from two completely different worlds. I had my thoughts about this book, because look - he's French, and after being forced to study French for years and years and still being incapable of even understanding it... I have my difficulties with french xD But this book - dude, it made me love français.

As I said, this book is about Alex and Meghan. It is fun, hardcore sexy, and leaves you behind smiling.

Meghan and two best friends book, after a few too many bottles of wine, a trip to Paris. They have fun - yadda yadda yadda - and one night on their one week stay, something really XXX happens and they meet Alexandre Deville. And the story goes on. Funny things happen. Shocking things happen. Juicy things happen, dirty things too but obviously as we're in Paris... The city of LOVE. The scenes will make your toes curl and your heart combust.

NOW please read the blurb:
I think ... the blurb is really reason enough to start reading this book.

Stop learning! Stop having sex! Stop fighting! Stop eating! Stop taking a shit! Stop feeding your children (your husband can do that)! STOP EVERYTHING- and GRAB THIS BOOK! Before you even know... you'll be finished and the only thing you want is to erase your mind, only to read it again.

That's all I have to say.

Enjoy,

xoxo - Nisha

Who should you read it?:
Everyone looking for an easy romantic story, which will make your day.. hell even your year.

My Rate:
6 out of 5

Very short excerpt, because I love to torture people: (Please don't sue me... I seriously don't know, if I'm even allowed to do this. I haven't been in love, lol. I can't go to jail, without loving first.)

“Why do you hate me?” I hear from next to me and see it’s Meghan. She stands on the top step next to me, so close I can smell strawberries. The lights go off and then flick on again, and I can see the twinkle in her green eyes. “So are you going to tell me?” she says, coming closer. “Why do you hate me?” she says and then smiles, and it reaches her eyes, making them even brighter, and then I finally snap.

Alex is a demanding one, “I just got added to the list,” I tell her. “You can do what you want during the day, but at night, you come back with me.” I really loved the chemistry between Alex ans Meghan, “those pants make me want to do very dirty things to you,” I whisper in her ear, and she wiggles her ass back on my ***k." I really liked this book, I loved Alex.

Faux Pas by Natasha Madison is outstanding!!!

I went in completely blind, without even reading the blurb, and I’m so glad I did.

This storyline was so refreshing, fun, and full of adventure.

Madison makes you feel as though you are actually in Paris, as she sets the stage and brings the storyline and characters to life.

I absolutely love Meghan and her two besties Kate & Diana. They will have you laughing out loud.

Throw in the hot as sin Alex and his sassy sister, and you have an in-depth story with all the feels.

Be prepared for your jaw to drop and your heart to melt!

Every time I hear Natasha Madison is coming out with a new book I get so excited, when she does I know I’m in for a treat! Loved Faux Pas!

Love Alex and Meghan’s story, it was fun, sexy and had me laughing out loud and possibly had me tear up a time or two.

Meghan and her two besties book a trip to Paris after one to many glasses of wine. You only live once right?

Alex is France’s most eligible bachelor, but she doesn’t need to know that. Right?

The sparks flew the minute these two met. And omg Meghan and her sass! Loved it! And Alex, sexy as hell and so damn charming!
Loved this story and these characters, definitely a story that will keep glued to your kindle!
Another wonderful story from and amazing author! Definitely one click worthy!

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

I've become a really big fan of Natasha Madison this year, so when I saw this book with the extremely hot guy on the cover, I jumped at the chance to read it.

Meghan and her two best friends Kate and Diana decide to take a trip to France - Paris, to be exact. The girls stay at an Airbnb that is way too small but they decide that YOLO. On their first night in Paris, the girls go to a restaurant where Meghan orders a bottle of wine that she doesn't like, and she sends back, which is a faux pas. The sommelier  is offended and comes to the table, where Meghan tells him to taste it. He agrees that the wine is lousy, which leads to a funny interaction between Meghan and the man - named Alex.

Turns out that Alex is basically French royalty - he comes from a very rich family who owns  75 restaurants in Paris. Alex covers the bill for Meghan and her friends, and when they leave, its late and they are waiting for an uber - until Alex pulls up and drives them back to their room.

Alex and Meghan begin a whirlwind relationship. Meghan is only in Paris for a few days, but once Alex and Meghan finally hook up, their chemistry is off the charts.

Diana and Kate are absolutely hysterical, and I'm hoping they get their own books. This book has a bunch of fun characters. Alex's sister, Giselle and her boyfriend, Guy, who works for Alex are great characters. Alex's grandmother is hysterical.

I have a few criticisms about the book.  The biggest one is the amount of written French in the book. Alex is French and the book is set in France, but having all the French text was both unnecessary and extremely distracting. My other criticism would be the rapid pace that Meghan and Alex's relationship moved at. I firmly believe that when you meet the one, you know, but they were close to saying I love you after a few days.

I absolutely loved Alex. He was a truly amazing guy. He was kind and very generous to Meghan. He was sweet, calling her Cherie all the time (which means love in French). He was such a great character.

I loved Meghan as well. She was strong and confident, and a great friend.

Overall, this was a good read and I would recommend this.

From the first page, I knew this book was going to be TONS of fun! Three besties are heading to Paris, the city of lights and love, after a night filled with copious amounts of wine. Of course this is when the best decisions are made! Get on board this love plane and get whisked away to a HAWT AF romance turned forever love.

Meghan was quite the firecracker from the start. She sticks to her opinions, regardless of how stubborn she is. Her first meet cute with Alex is unforgettable. It's the beginning of their romance that really starts simmering the heat. Sparks start flying immediately, especially at those first few looks and touches. Eventually, it's a full fledged hot and sexy good time.

Alex, our french royalty, is amazingly suave, and ridiculously charming No one can keep their eyes off, he's so alluring. Once he sets his mark on Meghan, I was done for just as Meghan was. *Le sigh* Alex is freaking swoony!!!

As I read more from Natasha Madison, I'm loving her quick reads even more. I'm entranced in the stories she weaves, from the sexy heroes, to the strong and lovable heroines. She is quickly becoming an author I need to binge read.

The title should tell you from the start, you are going to pick up this story and find a romp of fun. The lead characters can't seem to keep their foot from their mouths with letting the other know their feelings. But give one of them a bit of liquid courage and send that spark into shooting flames.

Meghan along with her two friends find themselves in dream trip to Paris. Young and ready for a fun time. However, honest to a core, they find themselves trying to say the right thing but it all comes out wrong. Or at least in the eyes of tall, dark and super sexy Alex. Meghan and Alex have a face off of unwanted attraction. That is the fun of this frenemies to lovers instalove tale.

If you've read Ms. Madison before, this is a more fun and lighthearted. Although there is a situation pulling the young lovers apart, they quickly realize that they can overcome any BS to keep them apart. If you are new to Ms. Madison, this is lighter hearted HEA which creates for a fun, entertaining read.

Faux Pas is Natasha Madison’s most romantic book yet! It had my swoon, swooning! Paris is the one of this places that you dream about visiting, that you dream about having a wildly, passionate affair with the man of your dreams. Faux Pas is that dream come to life. Ms. Madison draws is so vividly with her words. I’m a huge Natasha Madison fan. I couldn’t choose a favorite if I was forced too. However, Faux Pas just spoke to my romantic soul and captivated it.

I keep thinking about what I enjoyed best about Faux Pas and I’m just not sure. We have an amazing and fun group of friends who run off to Paris for five day of good food, good wine, and a good time! Meghan is looking for the best time! Alex is running the best restaurants in Paris and making wine. I love how these two meet and how the butt heads. They had me hooting out with laughter. Next thing I knew I was lost in a captivating, sexy and intense affair... well, Meghan and Alex were.

If you are looking for a passionate story that makes you feel a wide range of emotions... This. Is. It! There’s so much feistiness, humor, intense passion, so much heat and fire. I love the way this story encompasses everything you’d want and need from a holiday fling! Madison is an author to watch! She creates a story that feels natural and real, while making it romantic and intense. I can’t recommend Faux Pas more!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Nothing says falling in love like PARIS! When Meghan and her two best friends set out on the trip of a lifetime, none of them could have imagined what was in store for them in "The City of Lights." Drinking, dancing, shopping and eating French cuisine was on the agenda. Finding a hot, sexy, swoon worthy Frenchman to sweep you off your feet was a bonus Meghan didn't see coming.

Meghan and her friends, Kate and Diana, are the epitome of squad goals. I love a good romance that includes a tight group of friends. All girls need someone in their world to keep them grounded and sane when you think you're losing your mind over a sweet-talking man. They are the voice of reason and a shoulder to cry on when your world is turned upside down, good or bad!

The meeting between Alex and Meghan was unexpected and entertaining. Alex was aloof and according to Meghan, acted like a bear, but that didn't stop her from standing her ground with him. I adored her sass and spunk, two qualities that drew Alex to her immediately. Their banter brought out smiles and giggles, what great foreplay. I found his slight "stalkerish" tendencies to be endearing, while still being a true gentleman. The chemistry and passion between these two was palpable. Their world wind romance was a sweet fairytale that was easy to devour.

This was a fun, romantic, light-hearted tale of finding love when you least expect it. The heart doesn't care if you're from two different worlds, Alex and Meghan simply made sense. There were of course a few bumps in the road, but who ever said love was easy?! Oui!

Faux Pas is the SEXY and sweet love story set in the city of love (Paris, no less ;) ) between the gorgeous, HAWT, VERY French wine god/restaurateur Alexandre and the feisty, sassy Canuck-with-a-heart-of-gold Meghan. The chemistry between these two is ELECTRIC and I couldn't get enough! Throw in two of the best friends' a girl could ask for (Diana and Kate), a loving and surprisingly down-to-earth family (Alex comes from a VERY wealthy family and is known as France's most eligible bachelor), some ANGST and drama-with-a-capitol-D....and you've got the makings for a 5 star, MUST READ from Natasha Madison!

This book is CLASSIC Natasha....full of humour and heart and, of course, LOTS of sexy times that leave you breathless and begging for more! THIS is Natasha Madison at her very BEST!

***Note to Ms. Madison; I NEED to have Diana and Kate's stories at some point, as well!!!***

This one is hard for me to review...I adore this author, and liked the story. But there was too much extra stuff happening within the story for me to fully connect with the two main characters. There was SO much french to english, and girl banter, side relationships and descriptions that I felt underwhelmed by the main people. I again adore this author and will continue to read all of her words but this one was just an okay for me.

***3.5 Stars***

Faux Pas is a complete Standalone novel written by Natasha Madison. Having read 'nearly' all of Natasha Madison's novels, and loving the majority of them, you could call me a serious super fan. One thing I've come to expect from Natasha Madison is her crazy ability to lead her reader's on an adventure. I love novels that involve traveling to other countries and eventually lead to a long distance relationship. I love the struggle and the trepidation that comes along with these tropes. It always leads to drama... However, if not written carefully these novels can feel a tad bit redundant. Don't fret, Natasha Madison has written her own path when it comes to this travel/long distance romance.

In the beginning of Faux Pas we get to know Meghan and her two best friends Kate and Diana. The three besties are on their way to the most romantic city in the world. Paris! The three Canadian women are wild and crazy. I have to honestly say, I loved the hell out of Meghan, Kate, and Diana. I loved their sarcasm and jokester attitudes. These three besties are freaking hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at the shit that comes out of their mouths!

When Alex came into the picture, I had a feeling I already knew his story. It was a tad bit predictable. wealthy man born into an even wealthier family. What his story lacked in surprise, it made up for in sexy hotness and holy hell is this man pure SEX! HOT DAMN! I literally fanned myself a few times while reading. Besides the sexy, another thing I loved was the strong aspect that came with Alex's family. I'm all about strong family values and the Deville's show true strength. Their bond is a breath of fresh air.

Faux Pas makes me want to do some serious traveling! I need to experience all the food that is mentioned in this novel....Ahhh Sooooo Much Food! My diet secretly dislikes Mrs. Madison right about now!

I decided to rate Faux Pas a 3.5 Star rating because, even though I really enjoyed this novel, I feltt a little cheated towards the end. Without giving spoilers away, let me just say, I would have liked more from certain moments that were skimmed over towards the end. Certain moments that I was anticipating throughout the whole novel.

I wanted and needed just a little more.

Drinking too much and spending time with good friends never ended with such mixed emotions. Meghan, Kate, and Diana drink too much wine and subsequently end up on a flight to Paris. Five days in the capital of France, full of sightseeing, eating, and drinking; what could possibly go wrong? Queue the most hilarious introduction of a love interest I have read in such a long time.

Alex got under my skin so very early on. He’s constantly popping up whenever Meghan is out with the girls and is both dreamy, stalkerish and has charm, wit and personality. Everything a hot-blooded woman needs to purr. His inability to stay behind the line is endearing and truly swoon-worthy. He has secrets; secrets he is trying to keep hidden. Add to this the fact he knows he should be keeping his head down and just can’t, well he comes across as mysterious. I couldn’t help but fall in love with him. He knows no bounds.

“The only thing I’m sure of is that if I don’t do this, I’ll regret it the rest of my life.”

Meghan is an angel. She loves completely and defends without question. Her friends will always keep her safe. Their interactions were the pinnacle points of hilarity and joy. They just wanted to enjoy their vacation and quite possibly consume their weight in food and alcohol. It’s refreshing to read of women who do exercise but also actually eat something other than a salad. There is a large amount of French in this book, which is translated to English straight after, this can be distracting but the story is worth bearing with.

And this is when I get into my most favorite part of any book. Yup, the sex! The scenes scorched my kindle and increased my heart rate. Hot and intense does not even cover what I read in these scenes.

“I never could picture what my wife would look like, but today, with everyone there celebrating, I finally had a picture in my head, and it was you.”

The story was driven by the limited timeframe the girls had. We all knew that at the end of their trip they would be going back to Canada. They squeezed as many experiences into their time there as they could. Inevitably, Faux Pas hits the rocky part of the tale. Untold stories and secrets are revealed and when Alex and Meghan are tested to their limits. Do they overcome this dilemma and find a way to repair the trust? Can they find a way to make a relationship work considering their distances? Check this little gem out and you’ll find out for yourselves.
