Kate grew up in Western Sydney, in Australia, and remains there today. She has always loved the written word, being influenced by the likes of Edgar Allan Poe, JR Ward and Anne Rice, she ventured into writing at a young age. Finally taking the plunge in 2016 and publishing for the first time. Ever since, she’s been trying to bring the worlds she’s created in her head to the page for everyone else to enjoy as much as she does. When she’s not writing, she’s looking after her bevvy of pets including snakes, lizards, axolotls, birds, a turtle and a dog with her husband Kyle.
Kate Bonham has taken the Irish Mafia story and amplified it tenfold.
Conor O’Farrell is the youngest of the O’Farrell brothers, born into the Irish Mafia life. He’s loyal to those he loves and respects, and expects the same from those around him. He’s a player of the highest magnitude, never letting a woman get close, bedding them and leaving before morning.
When he crosses paths with the feisty redhead, Teeghan Kennedy, his work tilts on its axis, leaving him wondering if this woman could be the one to change his philandering ways.
Teeghan’s just trying to escape a terrible marriage, returning from London to her home town in Galway, to help out her Da in his shop. Unsuspecting that her world is about to be thrown into chaos, Teeghan’s gut tells her that Conor is very wrong for her, but she can’t help but dive headlong into the danger Conor brings.
Fabulous characters and a seriously engrossing storyline delivered perfectly by Kate Bonham made this a definite one-click for the next book in the series.
I’m even more intrigued to read the follow on books, exploring the other O’Farrell brothers, Lorkan and Killian. I’m sure I will not be disappointed.
The relationship between Connor and Tee builds up and surprises. She always felt she needed something, and he never wanted to be tied down. Add in some Irish marfia, some twists, a very captivating read, looking forward for the next book.
Ok, so can I just say the sexual tension and then the inevitable spice between Conor and Tee was super hot. Loved this face paced story where Tee became an absolute obsession! So hot! Loved every second of it and cannot wait for Killian and Lorcan's stories 🥰
On finishing this I instantly wanted more! The characters are all written really well, but I especially want to know more about Killian and Sloane as there is history there.
Lorcan also intrigued me, his softer side started to show nearer the end and I feel he deserves a break.
This is a story with so much going on, I loved it. Read this in one sitting. I can’t wait to find out more about the characters we meet in this story.
3⭐️ This book gave me peaky blinders vibes. It’s fast paced which I am loving. No messing around with intricate plots or intros, it’s straight into it which I’m really at peace with. I’ve just come off a chonky 700 page badboy so this is just what I needed. Hard and fast, down and dirty. All those saying all at once!
Pretty straight forward plot to follow, easy to read. Loved the Irish Mafia setting, who doesn’t love those mafia doms, like for reals they just hit differently am I right?!
Things moved pretty easily, not much tension to the plot, i’m guessing for such a short book there isn't much room for that push and pull. The instalust angle added to these feelings too. Everything is pretty much handed to the bros on a lovely Irish platter.
Some of the characters lacked maturity and depth for me and the dialogue was repetitive at times but I was happy enough to just go with it for such a short read.
Conor by Kate Bonham is book one in The O'Farrell Brothers Series. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but oh wow will it not be the last. I really enjoyed the storyline that was written dealing with the Irish Mafia. The writing was really well done and the descriptions made it really easy to picture as you were reading. The pace and flow were very good, I read the book in one sitting. I couldn't put my kindle down I had to see how it ended. I'm looking forward to book two.
I really enjoyed the characters of Conor and Teegan. They had such depth to them. Conor is the youngest of the brothers and he’s trying to make his way in this world. To prove himself; that’s all he has time for. Then enters Teegan who can stand toe to toe with him. They actually make a great pair together. This was a great read and I recommend it.
mafia books aren't usually my thing but I was recommended this one by my ARC group and decided to give it a go. I actaallly really enjoyed it. Im not a fan of the real world violence that is sprinkled through so if that is a trigger for you be aware but the characters more than made up for it. The dynamic between Conor and his brothers and his own struggles to understand what he if feeling are well written and feel authentic. The Female main character didn't feel was as developed and was maybe a little too adaptable to her changing situation but the story flowed nicely. There are more books for the other brothers and this one definitely made me intrigued enough to check them out. A solid read.
Don’t mess with the Os. Youngest son of Irish mob boss with a lot to prove with feuds that last generations. He meets a fiery redhead back to help her father with his businesses books. In his eyes she has to be a witch to make him feel this way and do things to him he can’t explain.
Action filled and fast passed. Easy to read and go along with, definitely violent so check triggers if you need to. The story was good but sometimes lacked depth, however it was a short book so not much time for that and at times just wasn’t my cup of tea. Good first book, quite short. I look forward to the other brothers books!
Being an O’Farrell comes with its own problems but for the most part we were feared and respected. Until now. A rebellion is rising, trying to oust my brothers and I from our control over the city. My enemies are coming for me and they know how to hurt me. They’ll go after my woman. Once I find them, they’ll wish they never laid eyes on her.
On my gosh this was a remarkable mafia book and the story line was very captivating. The relationship between Conor and Teeghan builds and has surprises. The book has some twists and turns and keeps you in the edge of your seat. Kate Bonham is a fantastic author and this is an example of her brilliant work.
Wow! I was very impressed! I want to read more about all of these characters. I’m excited to see them get their own books. This book is about the Irish Mafia. I love reading about Conor & Teeghan. Conor is a huge player, but when he meets Teeghan everything changes. They always say it takes a special woman for a man to clean up his act…. Will she be his one? Will she fit in with his family? A great story and I can’t wait to read more’
I felt there was level of internalised misogyny coming through which was disappointing. For example, referring to other women as ‘whores’ purely because they’d slept with the love interest. Also, writing the ex of the love interest to be a ‘bitchy’ ‘skinny’ ‘model’ is quite an overused trope that was unnecessary for the plot. Aside from these issues, I felt the general mafia plot line was quite good.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It has strong characters & the story will be continued through the next books.
Teegan is a fiesty FMC who had an underlying darkness that draws her to Conor. I enjoyed watching each of them grow personally as well as within their relationship.
This is one of the shorter books I've read and it still felt long. Conor and Tee get hot and bothered really quickly. The underlying story didn't really draw me in. Conor is in charge but his brothers try to baby him. His brothers went from hating Anya to being Team Anya when they find out she's been taken. Spice is good, but story drags.
Ireland the O'Farrels they run the city with iron steel three brothers all mean mummas but all have been burnt by love except Connor has them and leaves one day he is in a shop collecting money and a girl is coming in and gives him a mouth full that's never happened before and he likes it what happens next is funny and sexy
Definitely 3.5! WOW literally so much action right off the bat! Definitely new to the mafia trope, but the IRISH Mafia?! Woah woah. I feel like I guessed where Teeghan and Conor’s storyline was going and I was wrong! Excited to see what the other brothers get into!
I really enjoyed this book, it’s well written, the characters come to life and the story is exciting. Teegan and Conor zing from the word go, she’s fresh out of a marriage with a cheating lawyer who leaves her with nothing and he is one of the local crime family.
this book had me intrigued from the get go. loved that it was an irish mafia of sorts. loved teeghan and her sass. the sexy scenes were hot!! over all it was a good book, but not enough for me to continue the series.
This book is the start of what I can feel will be a phenomenal series .. if u love mafia books then this series is starting off with a bang! Looking forward to the next book...
This story is a page turner the relationship that Conner and tee have is full of passion and mystery loving the mafia Irish twist off to get the next book 🖤💜.
This is my first book by this author, but it wont be my last. I was hooked from start to finish, with every twist and turn I was on the edge of my seat.
What the, I need book 2 and 3 now!!! Really well written, I felt like I was there in Ireland as well as London. What more can these guys have to put up with to end up happy
Conor is the newest book by Kate Bonham and the first in her new O’Farrell Brothers series.
I loved this book from the first page! I’m a big fan of mafia romance and absolutely loved reading this Irish mafia story!
Conor and Teeghan’s story had me enthralled from the very beginning. Teeghan is trying to help her Da out while trying to get back on her feet after her bad marriage. When she meets Connor, something is telling her that he’s bad news but she just can’t seem to help herself.
I loved every single page and can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
Conor is the youngest of the O'Farrell brothers, and is testing the boundaries set upon him by his older brothers. Between them they run the organised crime world in their city.
However, there is some mutiny afoot, and before long Teegan is dragged into his world and he will do anything to keep her there ...
Once her value to him is known, all bets are off and their rivals are coming - for her.
Conor, Killian and Lorcan are not the brothers to mess with, but never mess with their women....
